Hello, I've tested the drivers : they're working fine, I changed the diode on the ramps board and am now powering the Arduino through USB. Now the only issue left : the steppers won't turn when the drivers are in the ramps board, but the drivers do work if I connect them without the ramps, like this : I don't know what to do nowby programer786 - General
Thanks for all your replies ! I can change the Marlin code and change it. From what I saw in the videos, the steppers should be in the right direction (green and black as 1A and 1. I will try your advice frankvdh as soon as possible The power supply wasn't changed yet but I checked the screws on the ramps board : both rails do have 12V. I will also check it.by programer786 - General
Hello, A few weeks ago, I had some issues with my 3D Printer, which I posted on the forum : I now got a new Ramps board, a new Arduino Mega, 5 stepper drivers and a new screen. I wired all together, following some youtube videos. All worked except the motors. I taught I would just have to adjust the screws and then I saw that the screen was becoming darker and darker, then it was off. I checkedby programer786 - General
I think I'll start without vocano, maybe I'll upgrade to it later to try I will make my own pendulum carriage, simplier and better than dondolo. It will of course take alot of time as dondolo is really good made, but I'll go to holidays in three days so I will have much time during the fly Thank you very much DragonFire !by programer786 - General
Thank you very much for your quick answer ! So the volcanoes won't print as precise with exotic or colored filaments as the classical v6 would ? The best would be to remix the dondolo to make it bowden so that less pressure is on the x-carriage and so that the bowden adapter holds into it, am I right ? If I design this, will I loose the power to print flexibles ? In fact, I don't really undersby programer786 - General
Hello, I'm really sorry for all those beginner questions, please help me. I used a simple J-head Hotend with PEEK insulatorfor now, attached to my MK8. I now chose to use a better hotend. While waiting for my new ramps board to arrive, I looked for cheap possibilities. I now want to use V6 clones with a Dondolo setup. Unfortunately most of them have a heatbreak with teflon insert and a taller boby programer786 - General
Thanks ! I do not understand one thing : the order for the colors of the motor wires : is your setup special or do I also have to make them like this (you've got black, green blue, red and for the other red, blue, green, red) please ? Haha I'm feeling more cursed than the red cardsby programer786 - General
Thank you ! The kit I bought is . The drivers are A4988, I will try to get the whole thing working but it will take some time. I'm using Simplify3D and it has a really good control panel ^^ "keep the faith we get you printing" : thank you very much ! I'm sure I can do it with you guys on my sideby programer786 - General
Hello, Thank you very much jinx ! I now chose to rebuy ramps, arduino, lcd and drivers. As I waited each time I bought from ebay it took one and a half weaks (even if it should have been sended from the same country as it should be delivered), I decided to buy from china and got the whole kit for 25 dollars Thank you very much for your answers !by programer786 - General
Hello, Ok I tought my PSU has a 5V rail but after checking it with my voltmeter, I knew that it was another 12V rail in fact. I removed a transistor (the left one if you turn the ramps board so that the LCD connectors are at the top). I connected my Arduino power supply (9V;0.6A), connected to the Arduino while all the ramps connectors were connected. The same result occured as before : the LCDby programer786 - General
Thank you very much ! My PSU also has a 5V rail. I will try your solution tomorrow ! Thank you very much for the answer already, I'll report the results of course.by programer786 - General
Hello, Thank you very much for your quick reply ! How can I fix this issue please ? Why isn't the LCD working at all when the motor drivers are connected , even with USB ?by programer786 - General
Hello, I've got a 3D Printer a few weeks ago, it worked pretty good but needed some adjustments. One of these was tightening a bit more the timing belts. On this adjustment however I removed one of the power cables from the heated bed and had to resolder it. Dumb as I am, I burnt a little bit of the insulation of both power cables, a short circuit occured and my printer couldn't detect the tempeby programer786 - General
