A while ago, I bought a pair of these filament-out detection sensors on eBay: The trouble is that they came with no wires, and I don't recognize the tiny connector they use. Here's a photo of mine: As you can see from the official Geeetech listing, they've received multiple inquiries about what type of connector this thing uses, and they've replied only with a request that queries be e-mailby srs5694 - General
I just wanted to express my thanks to gloomyandy and everybody else involved in this port. I'm turning my Robo3D R1+ into a testbed for upgrades and experimentation, the first of which was to replace its 8-bit Arduino/RAMPS control board with a BTT SKR Pro v1.2. (I wanted six steppers so that I could independently control both of the printer's two Z-axis motors and eventually upgrade the printerby srs5694 - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Thanks for the suggestion, dc42. It took me a while to do anything with this, and then I didn't get back to post a follow-up, but I think you were right. I cleaned and re-lubricated the sliders and it's much better now.by srs5694 - Delta Machines
I've been experiencing a problem with my built-from-scratch Kossel XL recently: The artifacting around the stern of the port side of the Benchy looks like a speed-related ringing artifact, but it's new. The Benchy shown above is printed from the same file that's produced perfect prints in the past. Also, weirdly, the motion of the print head on this surface is from the bow to the stern (left tby srs5694 - Delta Machines
Quotejcs 32-bit support has been part of Repetier for about 5 years. I happen to know because I contributed the sw port It's definitely not beta. That's good to know. You may want to update the RepRap wiki page on Repetier, which doesn't make this clear.by srs5694 - Delta Machines
Hi all, About ten months ago, I began building a Kossel XL printer. I posted a few questions on this forum, in fact. I got it working months ago, and was working on a writeup to post on my Web page, but didn't get around to finishing it until now. (Better late than never, right?) If anybody's interested, it's here: https://www.rodsbooks.com/kossel-xl/ This isn't a typical build log. It coversby srs5694 - Delta Machines
Firmware is dependent upon hardware. The Marlin and Repetier products were both written for 8-bit Arduino boards, although I hear that Repetier, at least, is now available for some 32-bit ARM boards. (I don't know if that's just beta or if it's been fully released.) Smoothieware works on 32-bit Smoothieboards and its clones, and RepRapFirmware is written for 32-bit ARM boards (AFAIK, primarily thby srs5694 - Delta Machines
Thanks to all for the suggestions! As noted in my original post, alternating north/south orientation of the magnets does help, but it doesn't completely eliminate the problem. What seems to have done that is lampe's suggestion of rotating the fan -- I rotated it 90 degrees counter-clockwise. I haven't tried this in combination with uniform north or south orientation of the rods, so I can't say hoby srs5694 - Delta Machines
I'm having problems similar to the one shown in this video (not mine, but the problem's the same): In case you missed it, or just don't want to watch, the magnetic fields generated by my magnetic push rods are causing my hotend cooling fan to stop (or to not start at all). I'm using magnetic rods and matching screw-in balls from Ultibots. My effector is one I'm designing myself (not the Deltaby srs5694 - Delta Machines
FWIW, I went with a Duet. The printer's not 100% finished yet, but it's up and running enough to be useful. (I'm still tuning its parameters and need to add a few ancillary hardware bits like lighting.) I've been fighting bed-leveling issues today, but I think I've finally got that figured out.by srs5694 - Delta Machines
Thanks for the detailed build information. I'm starting my own Kossel-from-scratch build, so your information is interesting. I may be able to help you a bit on a peripheral issue.... Thanks for the feedback. As it happens, I had a failed print and so I experimented and found I could easily snap off the mouse ears with needle-nose pliers. At worst, this left a little bit of remainder that I could file off. I've done the same with my non-failed prints now, too. Based on everything I've been reading (including your responses), I'm leaning toward a Duet board at the moment, butby srs5694 - Delta Machines
Hi all, I currently own a Robo 3D R1+, and I've decided to use it to print parts for a new printer, which will be (more-or-less) a full-sized Kossel (with 360mm side beams of 2020 extrusions). I've ordered a bunch of non-plastic parts and have begun printing Kossel parts (or variants taken from Thingiverse). I may well have questions in the future, but for now, I have two: First, most (maybe alby srs5694 - Delta Machines
