You hit it on the spot exactly. That's 100% I felt about the Faire this year. This was my 3rd year now, but I was overall very disappointed with it this year. There were some cool things (I always loved the TechShop building, I loved the fire belching things that were barely here this year, I LOVED the huge hand I actually got the privilege to operate 3 years ago but I only got to see that year,by keavon - General
They were at the entrance to the dark room. I found somebody with a Mendel but he was part of doing a Kinect hack. I saw an other group of RepRaps, but they were just some people selling a lazercut kit, just one set of people. They said that the RepRap group wasn't herre this year but wasn't sure why. I saw the RepMans from BFB at the TechShop building, and I was pretty impressed. They even had aby keavon - General

I can't find it. If anybody knows, please respond! Thanks!by keavon - General
Ahh... never mind. I just activated bottom and fixed it.by keavon - Skeinforge
Ehhh... for some reason those settings tell the machine to drop the z axis down about 5mm or so. It burnt through my plastic build platform (I have no z endstop mounted yet). I have been meaning to replace it for a while, so you actually did me a favor. I replaced it with a nice aluminum one. =D So how exactly do you make it not go down in the settings? Thanks!by keavon - Skeinforge
Wow! Thank you so much! I am using a .35 nozzle, but I'll try and figure out how to change that (Skeinforge is so confusing). I hope this really makes it start working great! Thank you! -Keavonby keavon - Skeinforge
Yes, I activated it and it's fixed now. But now I just need to fix a few settings. Skeinforge is SO complicated!by keavon - Skeinforge
Hello. I just cant get Skeinforge to work. It is so annoying! I would really appreciate it if I could have the svg's with the settings in it. You can attach a zip here or upload it to mediafire or some other hosting service or your website and send me a link. Thank you!by keavon - Skeinforge
I am using RAMPS V1.2 with the firmware johnnyr-Tonokip-Firmware-933c0b6 I have been using RepSnapper and it works fine, but it simply doesn't turn on the extruder motor for it. Any ideas or settings to change?by keavon - Skeinforge
Hello. The title says it all. The extruder motor isn't running. How can I fix this? I accidentally found an answer to this sometime last week, but I can't find it anywhere including in my browser history. Can somebody help me? Thanks!by keavon - Skeinforge
O.o... Wow, that looks pretty complicated, but I might be able to handle it. My first question is where do I get the source? Do I download it (if so please give me a link) or do I rip it off the RAMPS? Also, does it all go on the Arduino and nothing on the shield? My main concern is that since to read a thermistor, the RAMPS put out voltage and read how much is coming back in. On the other hand,by keavon - General
dazed.dnc, I asked Johnny on the IRC, and he said he didn't know and hasn't had it done. This is my first RepRap and it is on a slight deadline (the end of the month - working - but I do have everything else but the extruder done) and I actually don't know what file to edit that code in with. Is that the firmware on the board or the driver on the computer? Is it Python? I am not very good at progby keavon - General
Okay, so is there possibly some kind of chip or board that will convert the output of a thermocouple into the output of what a thermistor would normally do?by keavon - General
Hello. I just got a whole RAMPS board, and I don't want to use a thermistor. I want to use a thermocouple, which I already have. Apparently the thermocouple makes voltage from heat, while thermistors change resistance. I heard that I need to use the MAX6675 board (click here), but this wasn't done on RAMPS and I have no clue on how this works. Do I plug the thermocouple into that board, which goeby keavon - General
