Ah I see. Yeah I'm not looking for a diode by itself. I really want a full kit. Ok so I should be looking at the continuous power rating then aim to use up to 90% of that power rating? What about having adjustable focus? Is this a neseccity? Or just a gimmick? I hope the dodgy Chinese software they provide allows me to adjust the power output.by Theman - Laser Cutter Working Group
Sorry where do I find 3.5w and 6.5w kits? I can only see 1w 2.5w 5.5w 10w 12w and 15wby Theman - Laser Cutter Working Group
Also Thankyou VXD for helping me with my 3D printer last year. I sorta feel like a 5500mw laser should work, but I'm not sure about the claims of these lasers being overpowered and hence shortening their life.by Theman - Laser Cutter Working Group
Oh. Sorry. Not sure why the links don't work. Just search for 5500mw laser cutter on AliExpress or eBay. And 15w laser cutter. So if your getting 4mm done with a 3.5w, I would think 5.5w would do 6 mm? Am I wrong? Does yours focus or not?by Theman - Laser Cutter Working Group
G'day everyone. Newbie here, with a big question, and hopefully to contribute in the future. So I've got a Chinese Cnc router (x61500gt) and works great. Does what it needs to with limitations. I've got a FLSUN Delta 3D printer. Same thing - works great for what I want it for though with limitations. And now it's time for a laser cutter/engraver. Purpose: engrave timber, cut thin timber (let'by Theman - Laser Cutter Working Group
Didn't think of that. I got the brick power supply. The bed has pretty thick wires off it. I think it's more just heat loss being a big plate. Dunno if insulating the underside would help. I had to fiddle with the extruded heat block and sensor at first when I got the machine. I think it's ok. But will recheck. But yeah the prints curl up horribly. I'm using masking tape and it just lifts off.by Theman - Delta Machines
Seems no ones here.i tryied printing abs today. The nozzle can't maintain over 218deg when extruding anyone else hav this problem? Also the bed struggles to get to 90deg and once printing it can't get higher than 78deg. I know it's cheap and I'm fine with just using pla with it... but anyone wanna weigh in?by Theman - Delta Machines
yeah i dunno. i can just plug the mac in. I've been printing great since cura. but I'm getting not the best quality prints. doing cylinders its all rippled. I'm trying to print lower res now. so 0,3mm z rather than 0.2mm z layers.by Theman - Delta Machines
Make sure your bed config is circular and zero is set to centre. I used cura last night... highly recommend it over slic3r. All the prints I've been having trouble with all printed perfectly (and better quality) than when using slic3r. And I used the same settings. It also seems to run smoother and is more refined. So all in all, everything works great except I can't use a raspberry Pi to uploadby Theman - Delta Machines
Deadly. Thank you VLD. That seems to allow me to compile the sketches now i get this now when i try to upload to the printer " avrdude:stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): Timeout avrdude: stk500v2_getsync(): timeout communicating with programmer " can anyone make sense of this ardor use a raspberry pi that can shed some light? i noticed in the setting on arduino on raspbian it allows you to select theby Theman - Delta Machines
I have a MacBook Air. I haven't tried connecting it cause I find slic3r doesn't work properly. Using identical settings to my pc, it only generates code for the top right hand quadrant of the bed.by Theman - Delta Machines
Thanks mate. I'll give it a shot when I get home.by Theman - Delta Machines
How do I do that? i don't know why the windows version has it but the Linux version doesn't.by Theman - Delta Machines
I will have look at tower corrections, thank you. hey VLD, I've got a question. And first i appreciate your firmware. I have only used it and not the one supplied. so thanks. i honestly don't know what the differences are but i can't decipher it. but I've got a problem now I've moved to the raspberry pi. when i go to compile the code to upload to the printer, it errors. What do u have as the initial layer height? If I've calibrated zero as a piece of paper thickness above the bed 0.1mm. What should my first layer be at. Currently I'm running it at 0.25mm. I run 2 skirts also and it's just starts feeding. I found in last nights print I had lots of bubbles during the print in two section. About an hour in and at the end (4h) I'm thinking the filament is not the beby Theman - Delta Machines
I'm running standard pla settings too. I slowed down first layer to 15ms. I find it takes ages to flow and stick to the base, but once it does it works ok. My base is at 60 degrees for first layerby Theman - Delta Machines
Did anyone else get the extra 1kg of filament when they ordered their FLSUN printer? I think (I hope) it's just crap filament. As soon as I tried using it I haven't got a print done. It seems to not flow very good. I tried changing the nozzle too which didn't help. The small roll worked great, the extra roll is dodgy. Experiences? Cause now I can't print till I get new filamentby Theman - Delta Machines
G28? Check your printer settings. Make sure the bed type is correct and the axis are set to home at 0. Other than that not sure. Does it hit all 3 limit switches before going outside the bed? Or before.by Theman - Delta Machines
Mad, yeh I only got a 2a supply. Will order a 3a tonight...and a screen. Repetier server website has a sd card image of repetier server.do I'm going to try both the image and installing to raspbian and will report back. Let see if we can help solve this problem. Well I'm trying but need help. My printer all works, I found the base layer the hardest to get right - but what I'm finding is I need tby Theman - Delta Machines
That is so cool! I'm keen to make that my setup. Was it hard to get the monitor working? Do I need anything else? Or does the screen plug into the Pi and run off the pis power? Ie does the screen come with everything I need?by Theman - Delta Machines
Ah ok. I didn't realise there was drivers for mac. I will have a look tomorrow. I left it off for a while and restarted. Same problem. I'm not game enough to try the red button yet, although enticing. Stupid windows. I plug it into a different USB port and go through the driver setup again. Works on a different USB port now. And there's nothing wrong with any of the USB ports. Dumb. Anyways I'm gby Theman - Delta Machines
Ok, so calibrate the towers then level the bed? I've got a Pi 2. I would be keen to get repetier to work on it to control the machine... especially now For the life of me im so annoyed. So last night I finished printing my spool holder. Shit down the pc etc and went to bed. Today I start up the pc and printer and now it can't find the printer (com5) and I can't see anything in the device manageby Theman - Delta Machines
While I appreciate your comment. I am trying to tackle each problem individually. Is your steps in order? Wouldn't you level the bed before calibation? I tried tape and glue. Seems to work. I've printed a few parts now. So as far as I'm concerned it works at a useable level right now. So my next concern was flash air. Loading the exact same code that worked off the pc does not work when loaded onby Theman - Delta Machines
I'd also love to know how to got the Toshiba flash air card to work. I can't transfer to the card over wifi. Only read. And I tried running a program straight off the sd card. Did all sorts of weird things. And it's the Sam code I ran from repetier on t he pic. Looks like I might have to get another pc.by Theman - Delta Machines
So I've got a problem, though probably not a problem. Just wondering if everyone else noticed this problem once they printed. I calibrated the machine, then printed and the head scraped the surface still. I had tested it everywhere I could at z0 and not scrap. I think the hot bed changes shape slightly when it heats up. Is metal expands when hot, so now I need to recalibrate with the bed hot.by Theman - Delta Machines
Madness. It works. Prob not the best calibration but it works. Now I need to work out how to tweak slicer to be better. The first layer is still a problem.by Theman - Delta Machines
i can't find the 'DELTA SMOOTH ROD OFFSET' in marlin. i am using VLD latest firmwareby Theman - Delta Machines
Pla, on the supplied hotbed. Should I put tape down even on the hot bed? I've got the bed set st 60 degrees. I went through the video. I'll try again todayby Theman - Delta Machines
Wooo! So I got a test cube printed. So it works. But I tried to print something else and I'm having drama getting the base layer to stick, it's a 50mm cog. I think it's cause the plate isn't flat. I ran a g29 to try sort it out but it didn't make much difference. Thoughts?by Theman - Delta Machines
ok.. so system restore took care of the driver issue... drivers installed now and it responds in repetier. so thats good. I've downloaded marlin off here, and I've loaded it into audrino, I've set the z height and now i don't know if i need to change anything else. I've think I'm getting the hang of it. i havent printed yet. thats tomorrow now.by Theman - Delta Machines
