I just updated my system to 37 and I am having the same issue with my mendel wit the latest sprinter firmware. i do not see any Gcode being sent to the printer from the manual controls for extruding. it still prints just fine. I do miss the 2D screen which would follow the print job and the estimations well that math sux. but it does work for all the other manual adjustments. I do need the extrudby Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
So, its been awhile since I've been able to come back to this project. I'm curious as to the latest printing resolution people are getting out out teacup? last prints I had were about .2 mm? that was about a year ago. I was reading somewhere that we can get down to .02mm ? just curious as to how the overall progress has been going. oh yeah did the endstop discussion ever get resolved? ;-)by Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
great deal really ;-)by Architect - Plastic RepRap Parts for Sale
All, Considering selling my Working Mendel. I got some good prints off of this and it was an amazing fun project. Just haven't had the time to keep up with it all. I have a full Mendel in good working condition, all motor drivers and Arduino Mega 2560, I had the circuitry custom made by myself but it needs a RAMPS board. the print head is custom aluminum made by me and works really great. Just a quick update: this was my longest print using teacup todate. i didn't expect it to take as long but o'well it came out well. 19hrs 25 min straight printing no issues or hiccups. want to hand it to you guys, my base code is about 2 months old but it is quite stable. now i just need to gett a better handling on bridges in skeinforge. anyways cheers all! -TROUTby Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future

Which version of replicatorG are you on? If not 24 I'd upgrade grade first. 25 just was released but I haven't tried it yet. @Sublime sorry it took so long getting back to ya. I'm printing at 17 for feed and flow the new dimension stuff in skeinforge has really proved my consistency. I'm using ramps acceleration but tuned it way down. 30 for travel. @triffid this is all I get from git log. (nby Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
i haven't posted in awhile as I've been doing a lot of tinkering with my extruder hot end and SF41 settings but I just wanted to post to you guys my latest output. not possible with out all there work done here. system specs: Mendel "Beast' with Wades extruder MakerGear Grovemount, Barrel and "experimental" .35mm mini BigHead Nozzle w/ Nophead resistor style heater. my own electronics setup (baby Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future

AHHHHH! calibration cubes!!!! I am having nightmares with being attacked by cubes!!! Lol looks like we are about the same based on cube output. I get pretty good results from things that don't have many tight corners. But the corners if these dame cubes and also bridging is driving me nuts. I've gone from a-z with each setting so far. It's gotta be something I'm just not seeing.by Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Thanks sublime, I had used fillet too. I'll check my settings to what you had posted here. I also had ramping turned down to 175000 I just went through some calibration runs with it turned down to 75000. Man that sped up my machine. :-) lol but nothing worked out and I still had blobs on the corners. Just checked my fillet is 1.5 .35 radius and .5 reversal with using intermediate federate checkeby Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Grrrr Help ya'll I've spent the last few weeks working on various things (one of them being getting a new job) so I have not done anything specific but. through it all I've been tweaking skeinforge to get me the best output quality I can. I've been pretty happy with the results so far but I cannot for the life of me solve this problem no mater what I tweak. in the attached photo you will see a .5by Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Hmm I'm not using a heated bed yet so haven't seen the output from teacup for that. do you have debug on in the REPLICATORG machine.xml file so you can see the communications in the output window? you can set this then load the two different firmwares and see the different return values if you post that we can see pretty easily where the mistake may be.by Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
just touching base. I've been side tracked by printing calibration cubes, skeinforge testing and learning openscad, all's going pretty well, my tolerances are within .25 mm as of now but I can not figure out bridging and getting a good top layer. I'm doing some more hardware work this weekend on my endstops. everything is completely modular with my electronics so far so I decided to build an endby Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future

Hey Ben thanks for touching base here. I've been using your release sense your email a few weeks ago. We chatted a bit about it then. It's been very stable for me since. All except when my electronics are turned off. Really saved me alot of time and effort and put me well ahead of schedule for this project. I'm now getting useful prints with pretty reliable and repeatable results from repG. Thankby Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
I had lowered the bridge feed to .65 It a multiplier so I figured that would slow it down to drop more plastic. I just finished swapping out my drivers for the z axis and E stepper. Got rid of the easystepprr drivers so I'm now running all 4 polulo drivers at 1/16 so now I need to recalibrate.by Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Really? Hmmm, I didn't get the email. I haven't been having any communication errors for the last couple weeks. I'll have to do a pull thanks.by Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
yep, I've been using Ben's fixed repG since he released it. very stable (unless I forget to turn on my electronics which are powered separately from my arduino) Those are printed with PLA at around 200 - 205 C from top to bottom. my surface layers are set to 3 perhaps I should raise that? and lower the temp for final layer? bridge rates have been tweaked considerable as I was hoping they wouby Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Sublime, great looking output. maybe you can help me. seems I can either get good solid walls or good solid tops but mot both. hopefully this pict will show what i mean. when i get everything dialed in to where my layer thickness, flow and feed rate are acceptable, closing off the tops becomes too thin and the plastic sags and does not span over the top. I'm not sure if this is what is consideredby Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Yep, dimension activates the 5D E code. my current problem is that flow rate in SPEED does not seem to change anything in regards to how fast my Extruder stepper runs... so Other then changing E_MM_PER_STEP in the firmware I cant control how much or how fast my extruder stepper runs... grrr. Almost got a working whistle to print out last night. but it is putting way to much plastic down and filby Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
I'm thinking for now a status window. kinda sum up those idea triffid had but without the calculations. here's what I would have. Ewww! Negative space? I was never able to keep that straight when I was coding postscript. :-) I get the idea but couldn't keep the numbers right in my head. Lol Triffid awesome ideas. Percentage done I have yet to see correctly. Good challenge. Skeinforge does compute stats at the end of a build could put that into the file. But maybe once current abilities are reached. Yep I am currently manually placing my print head at hone and hitting print. Didn't want to get any further in my physical buIld until I proved out teacup could do what we are asking. Last night I made my first replacement part using teacup. :-) seems without my Z endstops I broke a platform Y axis mounting bracket. My printer is now officially self healing. I'm right there with ya, but I delete all of that. I believe that code comes from the start.gcode file defined in the preface window in skienforge. give that area a check. I have not gotten there yet. I just delete that gcode after slicing cuz I know I don't do any homing. heres the 20mmCube I use. typically I set my temp manually in replicatorG to say 200, re-slice this file with the changes I wby Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
I'm at work so i can't go through all the settings in Skeinforge that i currently have as of last nights printing. I also think that these are specific to each machine pretty much. the ones I know I have changed/ turned on are speed and temperature and carve.still tweaking flow rate and feed rate to get good outputs. i rebuilt my hot end and moved up to Skeinforge 39 after my last really good tesby Architect - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
