So I had a one week holiday from school, which to me was the perfect opportunity to build my printer that I've designed. It's based on the Ingentis and the Eustathios. The reason I designed it and didn't just use the Ingentis is because I enjoy doing things myself, and I learned a thing or two about 3D designing in the process of building this printer. Anyways, here it is: As you canby cjdj3 - General
Hey John I love what you're doing here. I have a Printrbot Jr that I plan to convert into your "Simple" 3DR What was the total cost of all the materials you bought besides the Simple parts? What length of rods and extrusions did you use? Also, where did you get your joints you used for the arms? If it's cheap enough, Printrbot sells the Simple materials without the laser cut wood for 40 buckby cjdj3 - Delta Machines
I want to re-build my Printrbot Jr into a reprap, and while searching I've come across the tantillus, which would be buildable for under $100 with the parts I have right now. Is it worth it? Currently my modded Printrbot can print 140mmx117mmx200mm, but the Tantillus can only print 100mmx100mmx100mm. If not, what reprap do you recommend?by cjdj3 - Tantillus
