Hi there, About 40 minutes into a print, the extruder motor stopped working, and the hotend thermistor abruptly dropped from 210C to 150C, pic here. Sure enough, a few seconds later the hotend started to smoke and drip plastic. Any ideas what might be causing this issue? P.S. I've thoroughly checked the thermistor for any shorts and that it is in fact secured in the heat block.by parco - RAMPS Electronics
Another side note on the acrylic pieces (should be on page one of the manual): DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN, it is so easy for them to crack.by parco - Delta Machines
Quotebjoernkarmann Hello Reprappers I got my FolgerTech Kossel 2020 a week ago, and the build went good. After some research i found the firmware, for Repetier Host (windows) 0.91. My problem is that a the firmware seems "right", but the distance it travels when using manuel control is, way bigger in the Repetier program, whene going home, it looks more like a crash! Is anyone else experience this crazy wiggle: (I do realize it is printing higher than it should) I'm trying to see what might be the cause, everything is tight and well built. The linear rails are definitely not "butter" smooth, and the other culprit may be the 36 tooth pulleys.by parco - Delta Machines
QuoteMiddyeasy - I used the 224mm and it seems to be able to reach the entire build heated mk3a area just manually pushing it around. Two questions for you, how easily does it push around? What is the distance between the bottom frame and the bottom of the linear rail? I actually have 228mm bolt to bolt and I'm still having trouble reaching around the bed.by parco - Delta Machines
Heatbed not getting passed 80degC: There's a few reason why a heatbed might not be getting hot enough: 1. The wire leads to the heatbed are too thin and are dropping voltage before the heatbed. 2. The power supply is hitting it's maximum current draw, you will notice the voltage drop below 12V 3. The copper traces on the heatbed are too long, have too much resistance, and will not draw enough cuby parco - Delta Machines
Quotednguyenai598 Great pictures! How is it working? Any problem with the calibration? Are you printing ABS or PLA? How did you mount the extruder motor? I found that the screws from the motor were too short and did a modification. Not so good at the moment: There were some issues with the provided firmware causing the autolevel sequence to drive the hot end into the bed. My end effector mby parco - Delta Machines
Quotednguyenai598 That looks much better, I assume that it doesn't matter which way the switch is oriented since the head would be homed before the servo turns it 180. The big question now is, where does the servo wires to and how do you setup the software to run and adjust the level settings? I'm on hold right now waiting for some parts to come in... and thinking of rewiring everything and mouby parco - Delta Machines
Quotednguyenai598 Quoteparco dnguyenai598, I have no idea if this is correct but seems like it would work. You should have received an acrylic piece for mounting the switch to the servo. Thanks, a picture is worth a 1000 words. Mounting Servo Just as I posted, they actually uploaded a new version of the manual with their technique, which is much better. I've implemented it and the new pic isby parco - Delta Machines

Two issues while completing the build: Where do I plug the fan, servo, and auto bedleveling switch into? Where can I download the firmware package called: FolgerTech 2020 like stated in the Configuration Manual?by parco - Delta Machines
Having another minor issue: the instructions state to mount the heatbed directly to the acrylic plates using M3 bolts and locknuts, but the heatbead hits the nuts used to mount the arduino. Maybe some spacers would do the trick, but just wanted to check if I'm doing something wrong here.by parco - Delta Machines
That makes sense, but i dont think it's coincidence that the hot end top almost fits into the larger diameter, and watching other videos like this one show just that: http://youtu.be/JrhpLgnzkdw?t=4m51sby parco - Delta Machines
dnguyenai598, Can you take a close up picture of the top of it? I'm wondering if the larger diameter side has any purpose, if facing down, it could alleviate heat transfer to the effector from the hotend. If up, it gives more room around the brass plug. IDK!by parco - Delta Machines
Does anyone know which way the effector upper plate is supposed to be? One side has a larger diameter than the other...by parco - Delta Machines
dnguyenai598, Pictures would be incredibly helpful. Mine has been sitting here for days and I'm still trying to figure out if I have all the parts. You used the nyloc nuts for everything? (I only have 35 nyloc nuts and 89 of the wing looking nuts).by parco - Delta Machines
I ordered and paid for mine on Dec 3rd and received Dec 24th, I'm located in NY USA. After emailing them they stated they were a bit behind after a laser cutter caught fire. I think I'm missing printed parts though, am I supposed to have more than what's pictured here? I also received a bunch of clear laser cut parts you can see on the right that I'm not sure what to do with... Woodywong andby parco - Delta Machines
