Anyone have a link to a good fan shroud that fits the print head these ship with? Im getting some heat creep and a shroud should help a lot.by bluesmike - Delta Machines

Nevermind... seems somehow overnight my calibration took a hit. Think I'll try Thevisads firmware and recalibrate.by bluesmike - Delta Machines

Hi Max - Have you checked you Z Axis for wobble? The info in this thread may be helpful:by bluesmike - Reprappers
Hit up your local Tractor Supply. Even Home Depot and Lowes carry the 3MM stuff. I use it on quadcopters as well as the printers and am always able to find what I need locally.by bluesmike - Reprappers
Quotecislom I tired printing the same thing in PLA and it worked - so I think this must be heat related. I will try putting a small fan on the board to see if that helps, I do have the board mounted under the heatbed like in the instructions, but was a little leery about that to begin with. If this is the solution I may try rewiring the board to be elsewhere. Thanks for the quick response, I'lby bluesmike - Delta Machines
Your offsets shouldn't be 0. In Pronterface under options the width and depth should be set. Since we're using deltas they should be the same. Mine are set at 152. The X Offset and the Y offset should be half the width or in my case -76. X Home Offset and Y Home offset are set to 76.by bluesmike - Delta Machines
I downloaded and printed the 3D Benchy - Now to begin troubleshooting my print. Here's the pic of both sides. When you print if you don't change the layout it faces with the bow pointing towards the right center. As you can see everything printed on my XY front quadrant printed very rough. Any thoughts on what would cause this:by bluesmike - Delta Machines
I hit Microcenter on Saturday and ended up replacing the RAMPS board and the Arduino and now everything is working fine. When the power supply went I think it may have damaged the RAMPS board. Im going to order a piece of 8" round tempered glass for the heat bed and see how that works.by bluesmike - Delta Machines
Thanks J - I swapped cables as well as raised the printer up 2" and put an 80MM fan blowing across the Arduino and RAMPS boards. The bed heated up fine but as soon as the hot end started to heat I received a min temp warning and it shut down. Im going to fire it up in a moment after letting it sit all night and see what happens,by bluesmike - Delta Machines
stops printing?! Im trying to print a small file. I had one successful print today. After that I tried one job from the SD card and it started but the LCD dimmed out, the fan slowed and it hung never to print the job. The bed and hotend did get up to temp. I thought maybe it was the LCD/SD causing the issue so I disconnected it. So I plugged the USB back in and tried again. Three jobs got to variby bluesmike - Delta Machines
Oh nice! I think my issue now is bed adhesion. I tried hair spray and it did ok, next I tried glue stick, not so great. I'm going to hit Microcenter and pickup some Kapton (sp?) sheets. They actually have it in sheets. I had picked up a spool of ABS, maybe I should have started off with PLA.by bluesmike - Delta Machines
Print results not spectacular. I hairsprayed the bed and it started fine. Got a little lifting in one corner and as the job went on lots of boogers from the nozzle. I'll post a pic in a moment.by bluesmike - Delta Machines
Wow! A lot of great tips guys. Thanks for the quick replies! My print never happened, the bed wont heat above 96°. Im positive its the old ATX PSU that Im using. Its only a little 110Watt that I pulled from a parts bin. Once my replacement from Folger Tech gets in I'll be all set (I Hope!). In the meantime I'll spend a little more time researching other Hot Bed tips and tricks.by bluesmike - Delta Machines
Following the steps here (http://delta-calibration.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/) helped a ton! I tried a test print and ended up with a gunked up nozzle .I'm thinking the bed temp was too low (95) for the ABS I picked up at Microcenter. I've reset the temps to 110 for the bed and 245 for the extruder. Fingers crossed, its taking a LONG time to get the bed up to temp. Im not using Kapton orby bluesmike - Delta Machines
EMailed customer support at Folger Tech yesterday and had a tracking number for the new PSU before end of day. But with my ATX power supply I took out of an old computer to use in the meantime the magic never happened. If I G28 to home, it homes fine. I loaded the Folgertech slic3r settings and sliced an stl and exported the gcode. Loaded the gcode file in pronterface and fired it off. I'll pby bluesmike - Delta Machines
Scavenged an old ATX power supply and have it hooked up for now. Just loaded my first STL file to print, waiting for the magic to happen...by bluesmike - Delta Machines
Definitely the power supply . I'm only reading 3.35V now on each of the RAMPS leads and 120.7V on the AC side. Time to call Folger Tech. Maybe I can drive up there this afternoon and pick it up. They are only about an hour from me.by bluesmike - Delta Machines
Power supply is plugged in. I checked voltage and it reads 3.57V on both leads at the RAMPS connector. I checked and there is no power to the hotend or the bed. When I press the button on the RAMPS board the LED flashes twice.by bluesmike - Delta Machines
I finished my build today and ran through the configure steps. Hit disconnect in Pronterface and unplugged the printer. Drove to Microcenter to pickup some ABS filament. Got home hooked up the printer fired up Pronterface and plugged in the power to the printer. I hit connect and it connects fine but that's it. The fans never come on and sending G28 does nothing. Suggestions?by bluesmike - Delta Machines
So Im wrapping up my build and am at the point where I need to set the voltage on x,y,z, and e. In the manual it says to set x, y, and z to .350 and e to .55 I can set x y z fine but I can't get e close at all. The best I can get it .479 Anyone else run into this? I swapped the stepper controllers around and still no joy. How close does e have to be and can I compensate for it in the configure sby bluesmike - Reprappers
