Forgot I had posted this thread.. I ended up having to deploy and retract the probe manually because the m402 and m401 codes are not in the main.cpp I've tried Repetier also but was making me scratch my head. Reverted back to Rich's firmware and I have it working.by hoang82 - Delta Machines
I printed out a raspberry pi snap fit case and the demensions are good. But I have the bed tilt to mess with. So adjusting the endstops is what I need to do. I will try that again and reprint. Z tower actually needs to come up a bit. At .3 first layer height, it's measuring less than .20 I will give this a try tomorrow after work. Thanks for the helpby hoang82 - Delta Machines
I'm having problems with bed tilt... Before I jump into software adjustments, thought I'd ask you guys first so I could go through the right direction. Z tower is obviously printing lower than between X and Y. I did try endstop adjusting using m666 but ended up messing up all the axis heights. Ran G30 A again and it prints like this in the photo.by hoang82 - Delta Machines
So after printing the fan ducts, it didnt work on my hot end.. The fan duct was way off.. So I did a Remix of the same 2 parts needed.. After printing and mounted, I realize I need to hVe another duct on the other side too. I will add the 2nd 30mm fan duct on the opposite side. I'll use it as is for now until the other fan comes in the mail. Left was without cooling duct. I cancelled theby hoang82 - Delta Machines
That's exactly what I am going to look into. My probe is about 19mm~ from the hot end nozzle. I'm thinking about just removing the probe and manually calibrating since 2 weeks of messing with this printer, I've learned a lot! Also, I read that after G30, you don't use G29? I ran G29 before the print and it was about 5mm or so above the bed. Scratching my head on that one. Thanks for the info..by hoang82 - Delta Machines
So I was able to finish G30 A finally. I had thr probing speed too high. I can print the center of the bed but thr very edge, its a tad high at Z and a little low on X. Looks like it still need to go in and manually correct endstops. I've squared up everything as much as possible. So im feeling that the G30 A could not accuratly calibrate.by hoang82 - Delta Machines
One of my rails have one pin protruding too high and it's causing my endstop to be a little tall on one side. but still works. You just gave me an idea! I need to flip the rail. but that means taking it apart.. I tried Repetier latest firmware. I compiled it myself and got it working. But it's not working perfectly with my BLTouch. I tried the latest Marlin build and got my probe to automaticalby hoang82 - Delta Machines
Yesterday I wasted a bunch of time and filament trying to get the Micromake V3 effector working. The hinge mechanically wasn't what I expected so this afternoon I designed my own effector. It's so far looking and working great! I designed it with wiring holes so all of the wires except the fan wire is channeled from underneath and to the top. Just to make it look a little cleaner. Anyway, the Bby hoang82 - Delta Machines
I am using both Rich Master and Test firmwares but just found out there is no M401 and M402 for servo up and down. What are my options? I want to be able to run Rich's G30 auto calibrating but need M401 and M402 for probing. I can manually lower and raise with M280 code but I don't want to do that every time I print. I do have it in the Start code for now until I find out if M401 and M402 can beby hoang82 - Delta Machines
Which firmware are you on again? The default firmware should run the printer as is. It's hard to figure things out if you didn't build it yourself. If I were you, I'd double check and if needed to, unplug the endstops and stepper wires and rewire them to where they are supposed to be at.by hoang82 - Delta Machines
I went ahead and printed out the micromake v3 effector. I like the simplicity of it. Gives me better options to add my BLtouch once I find that dang pin.by hoang82 - Delta Machines
Alright so I decided to put away the printer for now. I am printing a effector with ABS and with my trusty Prusa i3 to replace the Micromake's injection molded one. The nozzle ended up leaving brass shavings on the glass bed where it constantly probed. Cool effector design but it took too much force to activate the mechanical endstop no matter how much I adjusted the screws. I got in contact witby hoang82 - Delta Machines
I am on the Master firmware,, I'm dumb, I " //" out the eeprom for some reason so it was getting no adjusted values from eeprom. I corrected that and now it's printing on the bed. but It's doing some weird up and down movements between the axis' so I'm not getting a straight circle line around the print bed. The bed is aluminum which is mounted straight on the 2020 vertex braces. On top of the aby hoang82 - Delta Machines
yeah so i need to read up on the firmware and see if I can use the D2 pin for the servo signal wire. but if there is a D11 pin somewhere on the board, I can just wire it from there with 5v else where.. anyway,, so far I have ran 3 G30 A calibrations and I'm getting the same results everytime. ZX convex closer to X YZ convex slightly near Z I thought Auto Bed Level fixes this? or is it becauby hoang82 - Delta Machines
I have a BLTouch sensor for my Prusa i3. When I bought the sensor I bought 2 because I knew I was going to get a Delta printer. But the board that comes with the current Micromake printers are MKS-Mini v1.2 boards. Does not have pin outs for servos. I'm sure there is a way to jump the servo connector pins onto the board if there was a D11 pin. D11 is the pin for the servo signal wire. Otherwiseby hoang82 - Delta Machines
Quotexile6 What is your G30 A print out? Should be 7 numbers. And you dont run G30 A before ever print only G28 then G29. And G28 overrides G29. This is for any type of 3d printer. I know you dont run G30 before printing. Good to know G28 overrides G29. I am also thinking of ideas to replace the effector that comes with the new printers. It's a cool design, but it's constantly blowing air dby hoang82 - Delta Machines
Are you able to home the axis? I was messing around with the endstop invert and endstop dir (direction). When not configured right, the steppers stutters because you're telling it to do one thing but it's coded to do another. - So I am finally able to print. I turned off EEPROM_SETTINGS to run Marlin values. I do the same with my Prusa i3. This is for setting the height of the nozzle while prby hoang82 - Delta Machines
Do we need to G29 auto bed level every time we start a print? I read some where that it saves the values until you reset the printer.by hoang82 - Delta Machines
Quotescottman85 i tried all the versions of firmware shared and non of them have the functionality of the original firmware shipped with my machine. i have the one with the injection molded parts and i think it shipped with a newer revision of firmware. my computer os is ubuntu so couldnt use any of the software from the manufacture download site to calibrate the Z. Thinking I could get it workby hoang82 - Delta Machines
I calibrated Z-height. G28 then G30 A. After G30 A was done, I checked the Z-Height and it changed to -1.10mm lower than what I had it set at. So I ran G29 hoping it would level the bed correctly. It does does not calibrate.by hoang82 - Delta Machines
Yeah RC 1.04 was giving me problems. Mainly the G30 A because there was no Z_Lift values. So between probing, Z does not lift causing the Auto probing to crash. I'm on the Marlin-Test firmware now and having a bit of luck with G30 A. Only 7 iterations. Z-Height with paper test is pretty close. G29 works fine. After G30 A, homing the axis' to 0 to the endstops results the carriage moved down a fby hoang82 - Delta Machines
*Edit* I was using a older RC1.04 firmware. He has a testing one that should work better and I'm moving all most settings over. I have gotta everything to work all the way up to G29. I am working on getting G30 A to work.. Getting close! *Edit #2* Lots of head crash and bending rod links! I'm surprised I have not cracked the carbon rods yet. I got it to do G30 A and it is currently calibratingby hoang82 - Delta Machines
Read through the thread.. There are several firmwares shared..by hoang82 - Delta Machines
I finally figured out how to compile the RC 1.04 firmware.. Had to install the older Arduino 1.0.6. Added LCD feature and uploaded to the MKS 1.2 board with luck and lots of problems! All axis are moving the right direction. All endstops are correct. Endstop direction is correct. I am able to Home with out any problems. When I input G29 autobed level, the Z axis does not move down. X and Y doesby hoang82 - Delta Machines
Im trying to get the RC firmware to work. It uploads but I get a bunch of errors. Most of errors are J pins. I thought it was the board type but its on the right one. #33 to be specific. The stock firmware auto bed level sucks. I ended up leveling manually but I quit calibrating because I see no gain manually adjusting it with the crap firmware its on. Also, I think using the nozzle for probinby hoang82 - Delta Machines
These PCB mounted DC barrel connectors are rated 5 Amps... Majority of them are. I was running bed temp at 100c and nozzle at 220c. I'm pretty sure it's pulling more than 5 amps through that little plug. I dont see why anyone would build with frayed ended wires and cause shorts. All my wire ends are tinned with solder.by hoang82 - Delta Machines
Quotesgastel Do you have a copy of the build instructions and the firmware you are using? I bought one on craigs list and I am trying to fix it. Most likely 99.9% of us didn't have specific instructions. Look up Micromake 3D Printer on youtube and follow their electronics build video and videos after that. It's all in chinese, so pay attention to what they are doing on the video. I'm betting thby hoang82 - Delta Machines
I'm still working with the default firmware and my prints are coming along great! Downside is, the 12v connector is melting!!!!! On my prusa i3, I soldered the four 12v wires straight to the board. I'm thinking of doing the same thing to the MKS board and making a custom connector for the end of of it. Anyone have any idea what I should do? I was thinking of just desoldering the female connectoby hoang82 - Delta Machines
Yeah I had no problem with my Prusa i3 on latest firmware with auto leveling. I feel like I'm starting all over again now lol. I am still working with the default firmware to get used to the printer until I can get an idea of what function these values do to each axis.by hoang82 - Delta Machines
Quotexile6 There are a few firmware posted in this thread. But as said the setting must match what you build or there will be problems. When i first got my printer the default firmware hakf work. Turns out i had a motor backwards on the board. Fix that then all work, but printing was correct till i adjust the firmware to match. You gotta set Z height, radius, rod.
