I will definitely be going the RAMPS route, that's what everyone seems to be suggesting these days. Will probably get the full assembled kit because I'm no good at soldering (I chose ME for a reason!) and I want to get my Prusa up and running as quick as possible. 1) Okay that makes sense. just want to make sure 36mm is long enough to work. 2) Is skeinforge an easy program to use for beginners? i was planning on starting out with the reprap java host. I understand the aluminum and MDF is a better bed material. Hey guys, Been scouring the wiki, these forums, blogs, and online stores the last few days trying to learn all I can about how to cheaply and effectively build a Prusa. I think I'm almost there but I have some remaning questions: 1) I'll be ordering a Makergear hot end, which length barrel do you guys suggest, 36 or 50mm? 2) Is it a good idea to cut a purge hole in the print bed?
