Now everything seems to work but we have nothing printed so far. I attached the patch instructions ans the patched firmware.von Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
OK guys, last night I have been working till 4 o'clock with two colleagues to get the RepStrap running and we had a lot of problems but solved all of them (at least all known problems). There are some fixes required in the firmware to support endstops and homing. I just wrote a patch instruction file and waiting for predatorian to test it. When it works, I'll post it here.von Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Is there a option for the RepRap Host Software? And what about my Z-Axis problem described one post above?von Jacky2k - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
I found one more problem: The extruder position seems to integrate each step. When I extrude 5mm, he extrudes 5mm, when I extrude 5mm again he extrudes 10mm and so on. As far as I know the Host software produeces absolute positions for the extrusion, but it seems like the firmware uses relative positions.von Jacky2k - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Hello, I am trying to get the firmware on Gen7 electronics but I have some trouble with the z-axis. It moves very slow and at the beginning of a move it moves for a second the wrong way. I changed the pins of the z-axis with the y-axis and moved the z-axis motor with y-commands and it works perfekt, so no hardware problem. I attached the current version I am working with. It is not the current revon Jacky2k - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Found the problem: I forgot to burn the eeprom filevon Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
OK one more problem to solve: The firmware is not heating When I turn on the heat the LED lights for less than a second and turns out again. After that nothing happens. Anyone an idea?von Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Nice, solved this problem. In temp.c there is a line: sersendf_P(PSTR(" T: %u.%u\n"), current_temp >> 2, c); Just remove the space infront of th T: and it'll work: sersendf_P(PSTR("T: %u.%u\n"), current_temp >> 2, c);von Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
OK two fixes are required that the temperature is read and trasmitted: In config.h set REFERENCE to REFERENCE_AVCC. In temp.c in line 150 (may varay because I changed a lot) inside the function temp_read() is something like this: //Clamp for overflows if (i == NUMTEMPS) temp = temptable[1]; return temp; Change it to this: //Clamp for overflows if (i == NUMTEMPS) temp = temptable[1];von Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
We have some trouble with the temperature sensor. The temperature is always zero. I think this is a problem in the source of the firmware because in the version I used the thmperature value for a thermistor is never written by any part of the source code. I'm woking on it.von Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
I've tested the board as far it is possible without a RepRap. Everything seems fine. Tomorrow we will test it with our RepStrap. I attached the config.h file for FiveD firmware I used.von Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group

Jea when you use the 20pin ATX you have to use the 4 pin Molex. But you can use the 4 pin alone without the 20 pin atx connector. The fact that the 12V are not connected to the ATX conenctor has a simple reason: So it's possible to drive the motors with more than 12V threw the 4 pin molex. The pololu boards have a constant current driver, so you can use 24V or even more for better motor performanvon Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group

@Korba: About which generation electronics are you talking? Somewhere I have a remake (selfmade) of the Gen3 with Vias sized at least 0,8mm and no via under any component. Just this way we were able to make the pcb our own.von Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group

Hello, I'm intrested in the Gen7 Electronics. I read the whole Thread and I have a couple of questions and suggestions: * At the beginning of the thread there was a suggestion by someone to put 5 stepper motor drivers on the board for a second extruder, why was the idea discarded or did it just go down? * There was also a suggestion to put all pins of the stepper motors on one port. It was discarvon Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
