The firmware seems to work on Gen7 now. Heated bed not tested yet. I have a suggestion for the firmware, maybe it was already discussed earlier, don't know What about seperated config files for electronics and the mechanicals? And a easy way to choose between those "board support packages". The user won't have to edit the config files for his hardware, he just selects the hardware in the main covon Jacky2k - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Yesterday I ported the current master branch of "FiveD for Adruino" to Gen7 hardware. Everything seems to work as far as I can say without a printer. I will post the config file when everything is tested.von Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
Hello Guys! I found a mistake in the firmware which causes it not to turn off all electronics on m191 command. In the gcode_process.c or pinio.c the inclusion of config.h is missing. He doesn't know about the pin PS_ON_PIN from the config and the command power_off() will not put this pin to input mode! Triffid, may you fix that? You can have one. If you are still intrested, send me a PM. We are having problems with the firmware. The current "FiveD on Adruino" Master Branch needs to be ported. Hardware is working exept one big problem described in the wiki. We still have no solution but the problem is not a very big one because it's very specific and can be avoided easily.von Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group

Hello, I am currently porting the FiveD on Adruino firmware to the Gen7 hardware and I am having a lot of problems. I started with the RC2 because Traumflug advised me to use them. But I had to notice that there are MANY bugs, untested code and missing features. So my question is: What features are supported by the current version and which one is the current version? Jea we are printing parts with the board since a week every day. It works but we still have some bugs, like 1/16 microstepping does not work, the big problemm with ISP programmer while using the 4 pin molex as power supply, the fact that the firmware is not able to heat the bead and some more things. I'd like to talk to Triffid (the founder of the firmware) but the last time I asked him for helpvon Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group

We made some firmware patches and I uploaded the current version to the wiki and attached it to this post. We printed our first part with this hardware and firmware, it doesn't look so great as I said yesterday but it look like a printed part I attached a picture. We don't know why he makes the object that bad on the right side. Any idea? Software or hardware problem?von Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
At the moment it seems like all problems have been solved. Currently our RepStrap is printing a part and it look great. If everything is fine, I will release the new firmware tomorrow.von Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
We are still having VERY strange problems with the firmware. It is not stable yet! The RepStrap is driving into the endstops, he stops sometimes for some seconds without any reason and continues like nothing happened, some object were cut into two peaces and placed wrong. Seems like there is much to be done... we will stay tuned.von Jacky2k - Next Wave Electronics Working Group
