Hello everyone,
I'm printing on the MakerFarm Prusa i3v using a J-Head hot end and a 0.35mm nozzle using IC3D ABS. I find that it's important to give all of the printer/extruder information up front.
I've been having what's gone from mild to terrible warping.
I'm not sure how to fix it. I used a fan on my J-Head before, which I was told wasn't necessary. The airflow from the fan would always p

No, though I found how to fix the issue. The second nut that retains the large gear was too tight against the large gear. Therefore, when it was moved, it was requiring more force (heating up the stepper motor faster) and causing the clicking, almost squeaking noise due to the plastic of the gear rubbing against the washers. There are marks on the washer where it's been grinding against it. I loo

I'm currently running a MakerFarm Prusa i3v 8" that's using a J-Head hot end and a 0.35mm nozzle (I wasn't exactly sure if that stuff was important, but I added it anyways). I've printed an entire 20mm x 20mm calibration cube, but had an issue with the large gear making a clicking noise when moving slowly during the print. There's really no better way to show you all what I mean than with a video

I'm currently using a MakerFarm Prusa i3v 8" printer with IC3D black filament. When I run the filament into the extruder, close and lock down the idler, then use pronterface to extrude the filament I get roughly 10mm of effective extrusion. When I continue to try and extrude filament, the hobbed bolt rips into the filament, tearing the edge of it. This puts small flakes of plastic into the groove

I've purchased and assembled a MakerFarm 8" Prusa i3v printer. I'm now trying to set up a first print, but when I run it, the printer won't extrude enough material to even lay down. I can't retract the idler and insert the filament because it won't catch on the hobbed bolt when I use pronterface to try and extrude filament. I can only get filament to feed into the hot end and extrude by removing
