Printing issues ...
First Layers shrinking Please Help - 8 years ago
Hi everyone I am printing on a Sunhokey Prusa i3 with 1.75mm PLA filament. The early layers (first 30-40) seem to have shrunk and become smaller and smaller on both the X and Y axis causing the bottom of the final print to be inaccurate. I have printed a test cube that was 20mm x 20mm and this thinner section came out at about 19.3mm (see attached pic). I though it might be due to uneven coolingby noodle4000 - Printing
Extrusion issues on first layer - 8 years ago
Hi All, This is my first time posting so let me know if this has already been solved I am having trouble with the early layers of my prints on my Prusa i3. When I begin printing the initial layer is extremely thin as the nozzle is pressed up against the bed, this prevents the plastic from flowing and backs up my extruder to point where the gear just grinds away at the filament.
