I'm using 6.8mm panels and the normal parts did not fit. I remodeled all the corners to fit the thickness of the panels I used. Everything else fit as expected.by os1r1s - Tantillus
Sublime, I have to take some responsibility here. I am a frequenter on IRC and pointed out to Sound that there was a slic3t fork and some discussion here regarding slic3r. My intent was that Sound might gleam some information regarding using slic3r with a bowden extruder. Perhaps some things could be incorporated into the latest release to make it work better with bowden. Since he is about tby os1r1s - Tantillus
Rich, I adapted mine to 1.75 a bit differently. I did not modify the x-carriage or the extruder. I used an #8 nut and printed an adapter that bumped it up to the same size as the 1/4" nut used with 3mm filament. I did use a bit of the larger tubing as a spacer down in the x-carriage (so that it centered the filament. It all works and lets me keep the normal tantillus parts unchanged. Good to know. I had used PLA clip bushings on my prusa v1 originally and as they wore, they induced wobble. They also made a dusty mess. I'm hoping that isn't an issue here. Last night I managed to get it all wired up and running. It moves cartesian and can spit plastic. I need to up the pot for the extruder, raise the nozzle temp, or swap it back for a larger nema17 because it was short ofby os1r1s - Tantillus
I've just completed the mechanical assembly of my tantillus. There are a few things left to do (swap motors, wire hot end, install electronics, etc). Overall its gone very well. I have made a few adaptations. My other repraps all use 1.75, so I've adapted the bowden setup to use 1.75. I haven't tested it yet, but have my fingers crossed. Also, I'm using thicker melamine covered panels, so Iby os1r1s - Tantillus
I've now updated Marlin to have a cleaner LCD display. It gives realtime x/y/z feedback as well as using icons rather than text to signify a sd card was inserted or not. I'd like your feedback before submitting it for inclusion in the main branch. The link is Marlin LCD Display.by os1r1s - General
I have the reprap discount board working with rambo. I'm using the SPI and exension2 ports. It requires firmware and arduino environment modifications to make work. Ping me on IRC and I can get you the details. At some point I'll write it up.by os1r1s - General
