Just printing a 80x110 tool holder for my CNC and just noticed it's curling big timeby hughesie - Ormerod
Does anyone use this ?? I use Rhino at work but have a mac at home . I have downloaded AOI and played with it but would like to find someone who uses it regularlyby hughesie - Ormerod
Can someone give me an overview on print support material and how it works in practice. Thanks Hby hughesie - Ormerod
I removed the clip , did the axis compensation and then put the clip back on. Depending on the length of silver tape you have stuck to the glass you should be able to move the bed on the y axis so the head misses the clip. Hby hughesie - Ormerod
During my last print the extruded gears starting slipping/stuttering about 5 minutes into the print . It lasted , on and off , for about 5 minutes. The print quality of this item was incredible from start to finish . I wondered if it was a filament issue ? . As I said the print turned out incredible. Hby hughesie - Ormerod
Are you printing from USB or SD card ,by hughesie - Ormerod
I'm part way through a large print and the X and Y axis bearings are making a real squeaky grinding noise . Do they need lubricating ?by hughesie - Ormerod
I don't see why you unclip the Bowden Tube , If the filament is currently continuous from the spool to the hot end then why does unclipping the Bowden Tube Help. Or am I missing something Hby hughesie - Ormerod
I have bought a couple of new colours of filament. Is there a procedure I need to follow to change over filaments? thanks Hby hughesie - Ormerod
Hi You definitely need long allen keys , ball end preferred and ideally T bar ones , I struggled with short ones but I wouldn't let it beat me. I would make it clear that the printing bed is the kapton side upwards. ( i assumed it was glass side up and it was only when i was not getting the IR Z readings in the 600's that i twigged it was the other way round ) The printed Z gear in my set diby hughesie - Ormerod
I was a bit concerned with the Venus print as the right arm and the chin really could do with some support , I took the gamble and set it going , I had to go out after it got to above the knee . When I returned I expected a big problem but all It had was a little run in both locations. Building this printer has really fired my interest in 3D printing . I use Rhino at work a lot for design workby hughesie - Ormerod
QuoteRory166 Hughsie Very nice indeed. Let's hope you mean most recent print rather than last. For a moment I had a horrible vision of the whole experience driving you to the brink. I wonder when we get two colours we can put convincing blue lines in the Marble? Leonardo eat your heart out. Rory I can't wait for the 3 colour head , I emailed Reprappro asking when it would be out and was tolby hughesie - Ormerod
Quotedc42 Very nice! Where did you find the design? How long did it take to print? I found it on thingiverse and I'm not exactly sure how long but I think about 6.5 hours Hby hughesie - Ormerod
Had to let it run for a bit but thought I would show you my first and last printby hughesie - Ormerod
I think I'm getting there . heres attempts 1 , 2 & 3 in order. what do you think of No. 3by hughesie - Ormerod
I printed using the USB , I tried the SD card but couldn't get the file to load here is the picby hughesie - Ormerod
After several attempts i have finally printed something that kinda resembles a snowman ! The problem i can see is that at the end of every straight line there is a "blob" ..... Any ideas why ? cheers Hby hughesie - Ormerod
I am trying to do the bed compensation , when i enter G30 P0 it returns invalid G Code. any suggestionsby hughesie - Ormerod
What do the bed and the hot end heat settings need to be, I tried to print my first test piece and all i got was a load of curly stuff stuck to the head !! How annoying is it that you can't pause or stop the print in Pronterface !!!by hughesie - Ormerod
Quoteeiaro Check the SD card. Had the same, and removing/inserting the card eventually solved it (me think so). Yes this resolved it thanks.by hughesie - Ormerod
Hi I have followed instructions and got to the point where i was changing the settings in the config.g file for the axis compensation. I changed the config.g file and copied on to the SD card , now I can't access the printer via Pronterface. I get the following:- I get a message saying this - could not open port /dev/tty.usbmodem2641: Resource busy: '/dev/tty.usbmodem2641' and then the screby hughesie - Ormerod
