Good work! I had been about to work on something similar and this cuts more than half the work away from it with minor modifications! I had the idea of doing a direct drive extruder to print ninjaflex with as the filament seems to not work well with bowden setups. Also a note to anyone who decides to purchase a J head from ebay, I've read warnings from the creator of the original one about cheaby Prefinity - Ormerod
Have you noticed this post that Tony made on the LCD for the duet?by Prefinity - Ormerod

I'm not sure if this works on the default MK2a heatbed but I upgraded to a MK3 Alu heated bed which I hooked up 24v to the 12v connections on the heated bed, and currently I have an SSR controlled by the heatbed output powering a secondary 24v power supply(didn't go full 24v yet as I am not certain if all my components can handle it). It heats to 120c in about 2 mins tops. Another plus from runniby Prefinity - Ormerod
A simple way to get a decent print height for the z axis would be to use a piece of 80gsm white inkjet paper and put it between the nozzle and heated bed (preferably when bed is on) and slide it around. It should feel a litle bit of a resistance from being wedged between the heated bed and the noozzlebut yet still able to slide around with minimal force applied. Hope that helps!by Prefinity - Ormerod
David, I have limited electronics and diagram reading experience and can't figure out which pins exactly to solder the resistor to, could you kindly go into detail? Well, my fan duct shields it from view if i had it in a normal position but the height i place the printer at is just a little awkward and the beam gets thru. Its only the lowest led by the way, the other two are splendid. Any ETA onby Prefinity - Ormerod
Finally something new again David! Sign me up for a pre order please ! Edit: Any chance of adding a potentiometer to dim the leds as well? Apparently the CREE leds get too glaring when viewed from certain spots.by Prefinity - Ormerod
Apparently my duet diied yesterday and I've been trying to troubleshoot. Did not expect someone else to have similar symptoms. Well, mine did not have smoke but apparently just a few layers after a print started it froze and i did a reset on it, and it suddenly stopped responding while I was homing the axes again. I went to take a look at the board and all the wiring (which i highly doubt was sby Prefinity - Ormerod
