I am planning to replace my Ormerod hotend fan also (the original that came with the kit is much too loud - causes me tinnitus). Are there any specifics about the original Ormerod fan: what kind of RPM:s or m^3/h -ratios should be sufficient? I plan to do more ABS later (just PLA for now). For example, would this be suffucient (or do we need more airflow?):by tola1 - Ormerod
Yes, with 0.65e the Z-probe is working as before: values between 18..980 So are there some additional settings with the new firmware, so that the traditional IR-probe would work as before?by tola1 - Ormerod
So now I switched to official 0.78, but it still behaves exactly as with your 0.89a, like this: - With "M558 P1" value range is 215..320 - With "M558 P2" the first value is between 81..82 and the second value between 250..350 - With "M558 P3" there is only zero (0) Previously I used 0.65e, and with that the Z-probe used to work ok.. (values something like 80-900) I can try to test the old 0.65by tola1 - Ormerod
Using "M558 P3" just results the Zprobe reading to be zero, so no help there. With P1 and P2 I do get live readings, but as I said the range of the readings (now something like 210-310) is not as big as it was with previous firmware.by tola1 - Ormerod
I'm having trouble with my old Z-probe (one IR sensor). I am using "M558 P1" (unmodulated Z-probe?), but the values it gives varies only between 215 and 302, while on previous firmware the values ranged much more wildly (something like 80..900). So am I missing something here, or is this a bug?by tola1 - Ormerod
I have my newly build Ormerod mostly up and running, but I am not able to perform the axis compensation correctly. In my setbed.g I have only the manual bed plane compensation and the axis compensation (measurements done as described in the instructions using the printed test-parts): G30 P0 X60 Y0 Z0.0 G30 P1 X60 Y173 Z0.2 G30 P2 X210 Y173 Z3.0 G30 P3 X210 Y0 Z2.5 S M556 S74 X2.0 Y2.0 Z3.0 Theby tola1 - Ormerod
