Quotedc42 Note to users in South Africa: the postal service to SA has become very unreliable, the last few boards I sent took around 2.5 months to arrive, and one didn't arrive at all. Should be better now that the strike is over, but you never know when the next one will start!by drjeep - Ormerod
Quotedc42 Yes, you could do it manually - I hadn't thought of that. Ok, just to make sure I'm doing this right if all 4 corners are level, but center of the bed is 0.3mm higher the gcodes would be G30 P0 X40 Y20 Z0.0 G30 P1 X40 Y180 Z0.0 G30 P2 X180 Y180 Z0.0 G30 P3 X180 Y20 Z0.0 G30 P4 X110 Y100 Z0.3 and I should put this in setbed.g and run before each print?by drjeep - Ormerod
Quotedc42 The most likely cause is that the bed is flat but the print head is rising a little when it is at the middle of the X axis, due to a slight wave in the acrylic X plate. Of course! I was wondering why some were replacing the acrylic with alu, now it makes sense. I recently acquired ddmetalproducts' aluminium bed replacement and my bed is now perfectly level... at the corners. The center of the bed is almost 0.3mm higher than the edges. Does anyone else have this problem? Should I replace the glass or is this a bigger problem, like a warped heated bed or something else?by drjeep - Ormerod

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, I'm happy to raise this on Github or another thread but I'm having a few issues after flashing this firmware. Firstly, after completing every print I need to reset the Duet (or power cycle the printer) before starting the next print. Failing to do this I get the following and various "Unknown Poll State" errors in the message log and nothing gets extruby drjeep - Ormerod
Upgrading firmware to 1.00m-dc42 resolved the issue, thanks!by drjeep - Ormerod
Quotedc42 Hi drjeep, what M201, M203 and M566 lines do you have in your config.g. file? M201 X800 Y800 Z15 E1000 ; Accelerations (mm/s^2) M203 X15000 Y15000 Z100 E3600 ; Maximum speeds (mm/min) M566 X600 Y600 Z30 E20 ; Minimum speeds mm/minute Quotedc42 0.78za is rather old now. I suggest you use version 1.00m instead. Ok, I will try upgrading first. Quotedc42 Yoby drjeep - Ormerod
My z-axis started slipping after upgrading to 0.78za-dc42 firmware. I've checked the config files and there doesn't seem to be any difference in motor currents or acceleration settings vs official firmware. I'm using iamburny's z-gears which are stiffer than normal, but they've been working fine up until now. Will increasing the z-motor current help and how much can it be increased without damagby drjeep - Ormerod
