Hi DennyP! The W seems to be a countdown that tells you it is almost starting, it waits until the temperature has been reached for a few seconds. Have you tried the "Only infill where needed" option? Slic3r->Print Settings->Infill->Reducing printing time I read about this option on the Slic3r blog Quote One less known option is Only Infill Where Needed: it will detect what upper parts of the object actually require infill for supporting the ceiling. For example, a dome only needs the central part supported: think of it like an iby 3D-ES - Ormerod
Thank you both for your feedback and warnings! - The button problem is solved by following dc42's advice. - My communication problems were not related to this thread. - I restored the MTU settings on PC's that don't need to connect. Hi jstck! I *think* I am having the same problem with my printer, since I moved it to the office, it does not work anymore... My complaints: - On some PC's the web page loads half, parts of packages seem to be missing. - On some PC's the web page loads complete, but the buttons are not enabled. - When I go back to Web interface version 0.90 the buttons are usually enabled. Hi ezwul! This PC runs LinuxMint Mate 1.8.1 (qiana) which will install Wireshark 1.10.6 from the repositories, when I click save-as I get a very limited screen where I can only select a different path / file location. @ezwul: I tried to filter the log, but I could not find the "displayed button" when using save-as, my version of Wireshark is probably different from yours, or I don't understand you...? @zombiepantslol: The firmware changes you made do not seem to be related to this problem, the page loading problem is exactly the same as with dc42's firmware version. @everybody who likes to look at packet cby 3D-ES - Ormerod
Quotezombiepantslol There is still a networking issue in RRP's and dc42's firmware forks, and it's possible this issue is somehow related. My firmware fork already contains a potential fix, so it would be interesting to know if this issue also occurs with my latest firmware release. Is anyone willing to give it a try and report if this problem persists? If it does, I'd appreciate a Wireshark dumpby 3D-ES - Ormerod
I am having page loading problems on some PC's and on others it just works... Only parts of the web page seem to be received, the browser shows half a page. I have a wireshark log of downloading the page on working and nonworking PC's, the received packets on the working PC are all 1486 bytes long, and on the non working PC the packets seem to be missing data...? Is it possible that you don't need to fix those parts? If I am correct, this youtube channel contains videos of someone building this printer model, and he also leaves those parts unfixed... What does your M119 say exactly? I use the same 'old' firmware version, it works! Are your motors and endstops wired correctly? - The X motor should activate the X endstop - The Y motor should activate the Y endstop - The Z motor should activate the Z endstopby 3D-ES - Delta Machines
Hi there, I have been playing with Marlin deltabot recently and think I can help... The Configuration.h file instructs you to copy the files from the example folder, but when I tried to use this route, it did not work, those files look a bit outdated ... Update: added a check to prevent compilation of the ArduinoCorePatches folder When I tried to compile RepRapFirmware-059e-dc42 there were error messages, the compiler did not like the redefinitions of the names in the core patches folder... Since the patched files are already compiled from their official location, there is no need to also compile them when they wait in the patch folder.by 3D-ES - Ormerod
I found why bossac had so much trouble finding my board... There is a package called 'modemmanager' installed on my Linux PC, when the Duet is attached, the manager tries to detect if it is a modem. While this check takes place, bossac is unable to open the port! I have uninstalled modem-manager and the delay is gone...by 3D-ES - Ormerod
Thank you for testing the 'lsusb' script! I have added it to my script. If it installs Arduino on a Mac it also downloads the 'lsusb' script.by 3D-ES - Ormerod
When the board contains no program, the device identifies itself as an Atmel Corporation device, when you compile the firmware, variable USB_OPT contains the Arduino vendor and product ID, so the device ID changes after flashing the firmware and the script knows the state of the board. My PC shows the following output: $ sudo lsusb -v -d 2341:003e Bus 002 Device 115: ID 2341:003e Arduino SA Dby 3D-ES - Ormerod
Awesome That -p option is nice, thanks! When I copy the patches, it updates the timestamps, without that -p option it keeps compiling these files. But indeed, it does no harm, it still produces a binary. To install the firmware my script scans the list of connected devices. I understand that your computer is not equipped with the 'lsusb' tool. I found this project: Can you try to add thisby 3D-ES - Ormerod
Update: implemented uploading of the binary. - The script should detect the programming port. - The script tells you when & how to erase the board. - The script waits until bossac *finally* finds the board. - The board is erased, written, verified and reset. To install the firmware you can type: ./make ./make installby 3D-ES - Ormerod
I have updated the script a bit: - It only compiles changed files for faster recompilation. - It shows less output to keep the compilation result clean. - Added command line parameter 'clean' to clean project. - Added command line parameter 'verbose' to show output. - Removed the (not so interesting) ELF file statistics. - Probably supports the MacOS platform for jstck... @jstck: Can you try tby 3D-ES - Ormerod
@kwikius I have tried to mimic the output that was generated during the Eclipse compilation, so I use the same tools with the same options to produce the same ELF executable. In the last step this ELF file is converted to a binary that is suitable for the Duet board. @dc42: If the script finds a folder called ArduinoCorePatches it copies the files to the Arduino folder, since the RepRapPro veby 3D-ES - Ormerod
Hi! I wrote a script to compile the Duet branch of the RepRapFirmware, you only need to run 1 script instead of hacking until Eclipse works: - It downloads a 32-bit or 64-bit Arduino 1.5.4 - It asks which firmware repository you want - It applies dc42's ArduinoCorePatches folder - It compiles all .c and .cpp files to object files - It creates the binary in the Release folder I don't know if anby 3D-ES - Ormerod
