Hi, First of all, you guys rock! Thanks! I just got my hands on an hand held infrared thermometer to check my temperatures. My bed temperature are off by only 5 degrees. Software: 60 Thermometer: 55 But the hotend temp is off by quite a bit: software: 180 Thermometer: 100. Is this due to the surface of the hotend beeing cooled extremly fast, is it the hardware that has flaws or is it a miby Aagaard - Ormerod

Hi guys, I've had my printer running for 3-4 months now. But now it seems like the the fan duct / nozzle part is tilting. Not on the first 10-15 layers but then at some point the fan duct gribs hold on the print which forces the stepper motor to skip severeal steps. I have the acryllic arm as the primary suspect, but I can't seem to wrap my head arround why it suddenly isn't stiff enough. Any tby Aagaard - Ormerod
Well spotted muggi! I don't know where I got those strange settings from. Now the printer seems to fortify the the fanduct with walls, . Obviously the walls must've been to thin, and therefore slic3er disregarded them. Thanks!by Aagaard - Ormerod
Hi, I just sat down and tried to print the big blue fan duct (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:305990). At first I just got annoyed when it started to make spaghetti and started the print again. But at exactly the same point it started the spaghetti frenzy all over again. First now I realized (DOH), that a huge amount of the walls had been left out of the actual print. The brim prints fine, (seeby Aagaard - Ormerod

Hi DC! Thanks for the swift reply. Regretfully I had already shut the printer down. But next time the ormerod misbehaves I'll remember the M111 S2 command. Regards Sebastian Aagaardby Aagaard - Ormerod
Hi, I just experienced my ormerod rebooted mid print? I use the firmware and webinterface provided by dc. (0.65g-dc42). Did the bord get to hot? Did the G-code just shut it down (is that even possibel)? Thanks for all the tips, you guys on this forum are heroes!by Aagaard - Ormerod
Hi Guys, I'm just posting to know it anyone has experinced that the nut carrying the x-axis, has started to gnav away the threaded rod, and why? (see picture: ) Where I supposed to grease up the nut? Have I done something wrong during assembly? And does anyone have a idea for a fix? Whenever move up the z-axis by 10 mm og more it becomes really obvious, sounds really bad, that its grinding thby Aagaard - Ormerod

Quotedc42 Hi Aargarrd, You have a different problem. It may be an intermittent hardware problem. Can you try printing the snowman again, watching the hot end temperature as it prints? I tried watching the temperature, and the hotend reaches 200 degrees, but when it initiates and tries to do the ring arround the piece - the temperature drops, exactly as if it had been shut off, and no PLA is extby Aagaard - Ormerod

QuoteJoar107 Hi I just installed 59e and 0.81, just tried to make 2 prints but both of them hang 4-5 mm up haven't investigated it further. Quotetru168 Hi Aagaard , I noticed the same issue as yours too. few months ago, I spent a week to search and ask around in others forum but without any solution. I contacted support, but sadly, their reply : Pronterface not really design for Mac, can't do anything with it. I forced to use web interface and also Repetier-host. But how did you then end up doing the initial comissioning? I aby Aagaard - Ormerod
Quotejstck Some parts of the initial setup might be simpler to do using pronterface, while others are actually better in the web ui (such as live view of Z probe values). It is now entirely possible to do everything through the web interface. Only reason I ever connect via USB is for firmware updates. Thanks for the tips so far. Jstck, vil this work when its only connected to power via the usb?by Aagaard - Ormerod
Quoterobbycar But the new web interface works much better for me anyway and was very easy to install once I got the port bridged. Rob. Will I then be able to avoid pronterface, even when having to do the initial commissioning?by Aagaard - Ormerod
Hi, I've just assembled my ormerod. But as I get to the commissioning - I face major difficulties starting pronterface. My problem is as follows: Firstly I installed the pronterface app via the easy install - but didn't get the custom buttons. I then uninstalled (drag and dropped to the bin) Secondly I tried using the hard way via the commisioning page as well (dosen't work) Thirdly I followedby Aagaard - Ormerod
Hi guys, I can't select usb ports when connecting with my macbook pro (os 10.9.2). It only seems to return ports with regards to bluetooth. Does anyone know about a fix? Br Sebastian Edit: I changed the USB cable to a higher quality one, and dang it shows up under port options. I find it wird as the led light, actually turned on also when using the RS supplied USB cable.by Aagaard - Ormerod
