I will be interested in seeing how the accuracy is in printing. Looks very smooth movement in the video.by Billhc83 - Delta Machines
Be advised aswell all ptfe tape is not created equal. We use it at work and the cheaper stuff is garbage.by Billhc83 - Delta Machines
I would slow your printer down significantly until you have the problem fixed. It is hard to tell what is happening because it happens very quickly. Can you make another video with the speed turned down? What are the values of your end stops when they are pressed manually m119 I think the code is. Are you sure you have the proper endstop wired to the corresponding motor?by Billhc83 - Delta Machines
Since no one else has replied I will ask. I do not use repetier but if your probe needs to go below xyz0 then wouldn't this line #define Z_MIN_POS 0 Need to be negative? Sys your probe is pin 63by Billhc83 - Delta Machines
What kind of probe are you using?by Billhc83 - Delta Machines
I would make sure to print the geared extruder add on the direct drive one is a pos I'm. I used the files in the github.com, works pretty wellby Billhc83 - Smart_Rap
Upgrade to the geared extruder on thingiverse.com makes a world of difference.by Billhc83 - Smart_Rap
Just built one. Cost under 200 and prints reliably. Just not real fast.by Billhc83 - Smart_Rap
Also the proof is in your initial statement where you say auto Cal compensates your rods by 10mm the same as your ball diameter. The center of the ball is the center of the joint.by Billhc83 - Delta Machines
Update your www file I had the same problem sounds like it at leastby Billhc83 - Delta Machines
Is your hot end thermistor connected to your board? I had a similar problem when testing a printer just had to connect the thermistor.by Billhc83 - Delta Machines
What are the endstop status are they already triggered for some reason?by Billhc83 - Smart_Rap
Have you checked the current/voltage settings on the y and z stepper drivers?by Billhc83 - Smart_Rap
Thanks again for the info. I will order the lead screw soon hopefully this will fix the problem. I am using a 5mm threaded rod atm. I did not calibrate the steps for this axis I just used what the firmware had by default. I may look into this because now that you have said this I think this may be contributing to my issue. Although the measurements I have taken are accurate. I will invby Billhc83 - Smart_Rap
Thanks for the reply. This is the original smartrap, I had a second piece of threaded rod that was straighter than the other end I was using so I replaced it and this made a big difference. I think if I were to find a lead screw rather than threaded rod it would likely fix the problem altogether. I am only able find 8mm lead screw so I may have to reprint the x axis plate to accommodate thiby Billhc83 - Smart_Rap
Hi, I have been building a smartrap printer. I know a lot have moved on to smart core but I was building a second printer and the smartrap was easily made. I am having issues with a banding pattern. I am thinking this is caused by a slight bend in my threaded rod causing the x axis to move slightly. I am wondering if anyone is using lead screws and if so what size? If anyone has any other iby Billhc83 - Smart_Rap
I would say, in my limited experience mind you, that if you are able to get a perfect first layer, layers from that point on will be reletively perfect with good motor/belt/ extruder calibration. Getting the first layer perfect ensures good bed adhesion and fights lifting and warping that will ruin prints. I built a kossel that is a long way from perfectly built I cut my extrusions on a mitre sby Billhc83 - Delta Machines
Hard to tell but are the motors all moving in the right direction? Looks like 2 of them are moving down rather than up. Try reversing the stepper connection if they are moving in the wrong direction.by Billhc83 - Delta Machines
Those igus rod ends list max range @ 30* I am assuming this would make a total of 60* range of motion, how does that compare to the Traxxas joints?by Billhc83 - Delta Machines
Thank you David, I found that the out wire was moving out of place at certain angles of probing, causing these false readings. I am using 3mm glass with flat back paint on the bottom, and it seems to be reading well.by Billhc83 - Delta Machines
Hi David, Wondering if you could tell me what causes this: "Error: Z probe warning: probe already triggered at start of probing move" This happens at 3 spots during auto cal. I have watched the process a few times now and I am certain the probe is not triggered at these points. It finishes the calibration routine fine and makes the appropriate adjustments, just wonding what the cause of thby Billhc83 - Delta Machines
Delta k800 This is instructions for a k800 I was thinking about buying a while back. Not sure if it is the same as yours but might be some info there to help those trying to assemble.by Billhc83 - Delta Machines
