I finally found what it was all about... After a few issues and a week of hollidays, the problem was very simple : I only had to adjust the extruder stepper driver pot to have a clean operation of the motor. Thanks for your help Raphaëlby saintrom - Reprappers
Thanks for helping me with this.. I am running in absolute coordinates, have the sprinter firmware 0018, and pronterface with sfact software (last version I guess) My retract settings are 15mm/s. I tested relative coordinates in the software, but it didn't work as well : the extruder motor turned forward and backwards for even shorter distances than before, but it didn't push the filament at alby saintrom - Reprappers
Hello all, Another issue popped up between my prusa and its first print... As I finally achieved the complete build of my prusa, got the right temperature table to be in a good temperature range, calibrated the e_steps per mm to have the right extrusion speed, etc, I can't get my printer to make its first print ! I have 2 complete different behaviors for my wade extruder on an extrusion test anby saintrom - Reprappers

Hello, Following a few issues with the build of my Prusa, I finally got everything installed on the hardware side. I installed Printrun with Sfact on my computer and began the tests : - All motors and endstops work properly and are well calibrated (when I use Printrun buttons) - Extruder is extruding the right length of PLA when the "Extrude" button is hit Next step was to test my reprap withby saintrom - Reprappers
I run the Sprinter firmwareby saintrom - Reprappers
Ok, thanks a lot. Then I will try to correct that. Unfortunately I really have no idea on how to do that. Do you have any idea where I could get some information to do that ?by saintrom - Reprappers
I just measured and my thermistor is 100k. Is there a way to check what is in the firmware ? I also tried to raise the temperature to 290 degrees. PLA is melting, but very very slowly...by saintrom - Reprappers
Thanks a lot for this first answer, the issue is that when i heat my hot end to 200° (measured by thermistor), the PLA doesn't melt. 80° is the temperature recorded by my thermistor when he hot end is "cold"by saintrom - Reprappers
Hello, I discovered the reprap universe a few weeks ago, and wanted to join the adventure. Since then, things went quite well as I ordered a complete prusa kit at thereprapkitstore.co.uk, got it with all parts and assembled it in a few days. Today all the electronics is working, except that the hot end doesn't melt the 3mm PLA I had in my kit. I noticed that with a hot end that had not been heaby saintrom - Reprappers
