Update on this: Quotenonfish Is anyone else having problems with the extruder oozing where it shouldn't - out the top and around the nozzle? Pictures Here. This is after only a few minutes running; every 15 minutes of printing or so I need to manually clean the nozzle to not get massive deposits in my print. I heated up the nozzle to ~120 degrees, and unscrewed it along with the barrel. Cleanedby nonfish - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteAridad I had the same issue, The nozzle is either coming unscrewed, or the heatbreak is not seated against the nozzle properly. I had to completely disassemble and clean the hot-end (while hot) to get the plastic out and get all of the parts re-seated against themselves properly. It took me a few hours and bad prints to figure it out. That was my next plan of action anyways. Probably don'by nonfish - Prusa i3 and variants

Anyone having extruder issues? Mine was working fine for the first few prints, but now it's making a slow (1-2 a second) rhythmic clicking sound where the filament "skips". If I hold the filament feeding into the extruder and push down, it gets a lot better but still skips occasionally (when it skips, I can feel the filament jump back up at me). The extruder is definitely not laying down all theby nonfish - Prusa i3 and variants
Quoterobodog I am very pleased with my new 2020 i3 printer. There is an issue with the X axis logistics. When homing the X axis, my print head would travel about 10 MM and then declare that it had hit the home switch even though it was a great distance from it. I believe that the head actually travelled away from the end stop switch when "detecting" home. On this forum, I read many solutions of oby nonfish - Prusa i3 and variants
Now that I got my printer running, does anyone know if there is a guide to updating marlin? I'd like to be up-to-date with the more recent releases, especially for some of the safety features added, but I'm not sure what settings I'll have to edit to get it to run for this printer specifically.by nonfish - Prusa i3 and variants
I too was having problems with the x axis. It gives me a log of "endstop hit" when I try to move towards the endstop (move right), even though it has plenty of space. It seems like it was reading the wrong pins for the endstop; M119 shows "x_min: open." Sure enough, swapping X_MAX_PIN with X_MIN_PIN's value worked. If future versions of the firmware would have the same incorrect definition, thouby nonfish - Prusa i3 and variants
