Quotetjnamtiw QuoteNeverdone I have been running my printer now for about a year and half. LOVE THIS THING! But I am gearing up to do some upgrades. I want to start with auto bed leveling, I have printed a few pieces, servo mount and arm, but I am coming up short on where to go to find the code on how to do this or maybe a how to. Can anyone help me out? This will fit your 2020 i3. I assumeby Neverdone - Prusa i3 and variants

has anyone here tried to print transparent ABS? I picked up a spool to try and see how it goes. With the RC parts I have been making I thought some of it would be pretty cool to run transparent. When I tried to print it though it turned out more white than clear and the parts were very fragile like I did not have good adhesion between layers. I think that it was probably because of not runninby Neverdone - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteMach QuoteNeverdone What is everyone using for good bed adhesion? I was having good luck with glue until I switched slicer programs. Now I am having basically none. Parts are printing GREAT but are warping on the bottom side. Would I be better off using tape? I see some people say that works well. I use glue stick with cura slicer. Has anyone ever tried printing nylon? I am looking for more durability out of my parts since most of them are going to be really abused, mainly printing RC parts. Has any one tried it or printing TPU? I also was looking at different hot ends. I hear that there are much better ones out there that what this uses. I would also really like trying a dual head so I can run multiple colors, but donby Neverdone - Prusa i3 and variants

I did not realize that it would be different from color to color. Does anyone have base numbers to use to start on these for different colors? I think that my flow rate might be too high and that might be causing my biggest issue. I would think that temps would pretty well stay the same no? How do you enable supports? Quotetherippa Just a little heads up - the bearings Folgertech gave for the Y-axis belt are crap and may fail after printing a kilogram of filament... I wasn't too impressed with them when I put it together. I have a full set of bearings on order through my local hobby shop. I also ordered some spare linear bearings online. QuoteNeverdone Finally got to try and print some things. I printed a 20x20 box that turned out ok so I decided to try something else. I think I need to adjust layer height, but I am not to sure why I have the issue of the sagging lines in a couple spots. Quoteanimoose QuoteNeverdone Has anyone tried anything besides ABS or PLA in their printer? I was looking at TPE..... Would I need a different extruder or anything for that? I've tried PLA/PHA mix and PETG. I wrote up some notes here . It looks like the temperature requirements for TPE (that's Ninjaflex, right?) should be OK. With a direct extruder it ought to work ok. Quotewoodknack QuoteNeverdone I did get my first print done last night! I printed a 20x20 block and was drooling on myself the whole time! Simply fascinating! I do need to make some adjustments though, it appears that my belts need to be a little tighter there is some waviness on the sides of the print, also when it printed the top there is some gap between the lines. Otherwise I am ecstatic!by Neverdone - Prusa i3 and variants

Quotewoodknack I don't know how they package there stuff!? seems like someones is always missing something. They must hire school kids to package the stuff up for kitting. If it were me id stock all the stuff in separate bins from start to finish. each bin would tell you how many of that item is needed. start at the first bin and go to the last loading in a cart or another bin. That seems very odd. Did yours run the correct direction when running manually? That is the part that confuses me. It runs the correct direction to home and in the manual functions. I figured that if I swapped the connection it would be running backwards for all that.by Neverdone - Prusa i3 and variants
OK so I figured out why the filament is not coming out!!! The extruder motor is running backwards during the print! All the other times it is running normal! I am at a loss as to why it would run normal in manual but backwards during a print!by Neverdone - Prusa i3 and variants

OK, so I finally finished calibrating and attempted my first print. I am using 1.75 ABS. I set the slicer config for i3 ABS but adjust the temps to 230. I loaded a 20x20 calibration file and hit print. The printer moves around like it is printing but does not extrude anything. I am not sure what to do here. So I finally powered it up last night. Started trying to calibrate it. When I hit the button to home the X-Axis the motor moves maybe 1/2" and then stops. I thought it seemed to me that it was the motor stalling from not enough power. I started trying to turn the stepper driver up but this did not help. when not powered it seems that the axis moves very easily no binding. Does anyone have anby Neverdone - Prusa i3 and variants
So I finally finished my build the other day. I have loaded the arduino and downloaded the repetier software and done the first 13 pages of the config guide. The last thing I need to do before starting to home and what not is to tune the stepper drivers. This seems to be the part that I find the fuzziest in the instructions. I have also been reading some of the posts on this thread but wanted to ask, are there any modifications you guys recommend right off the bat?
