Hi, I've been trying to set up auto bed leveling with a servo motor. I followed this guide. Whenever I home my z axis or start a print, the nozzle does not go back down towards the bed. This causes the prints to start way too high. Here are my settings: Thanksby twigtree - Prusa i3 and variants
Does anybody knew where I can get some replacement set screws for the hotend? Or at least what size they are? Thanksby twigtree - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi, I'm just wondering what other people's maximum build height is as I can only reach about 135mm (5.13 inches) before the chrome rods aren't long enough to go any higher. The chrome rods are 320mm long as they should be.by twigtree - Prusa i3 and variants
Something is wrong with the bed on my printer. I can't level it. One side of the bed is too high up, even while the screws are all the way tightened. The other side is too low even while the screws are not tightened at all. I have no clue what could be the problem. My x-axis is leveled. I'm using a glass sheet on top of the heater.by twigtree - Prusa i3 and variants

Quotetherippa The power problem is because Folgertech gives us RAMPS/Arduino boards that put out 4.8v when they should be putting out 5v. Actually I think it might be because of the destroyed voltage regulator on the Arduino that I just found. I'm not sure if replacing it will fix the odd symbols that pop up on my screen. According to Google, people are having similar issues related to grounding,by twigtree - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi, I recently got a RepRapDiscount Smart Controller board, and it kind of works. The info screen when first powering it on works fine, but after scrolling up and down bunch of weird symbols pop up on the screen. Also, when my Arduino only turns on when I plug it in through USB and not just from the power supply. Could this be affecting it? Also noticed a short between two of the pins on the RAMPby twigtree - Prusa i3 and variants
So uh while I was printing something, the heating element and the thermistor in the hotend fell out. I'm not really sure how to proceed from here as I don't think I can just glue them back in with some superglue. Anyone have any ideas on how to make them stick in the hotend again?by twigtree - Prusa i3 and variants
There's a new problem with my prints now. When printing, the filament will extrude, but the melted plastic will just be dragged as the print head moves. I think my Z-axis still might be too high, but I'm not sure. I've already tried lowering the speed.by twigtree - Prusa i3 and variants
Quotetwigtree QuoteDid you run through all calibrations? Yes, I have, but I'm suspecting that my Z-axis is calibrated slightly too low. I'm re calibrating it now. Yup, my Z-axis was calibrated 3.2mm too low. It's fixed now I think!by twigtree - Prusa i3 and variants

I recently setup my Folger Tech 2020 i3 and my prints are dragging through already printed layers creating a line through them. Anybody have an idea on how to fix this? Printer settings: * PLA * 0.4mm layer height * 60 degrees bed and 185 hot end * Steps per mm: x=80 y=80 z=4000 e=90 * Max feedrate: x=250 y=250 z=2 e=22 * Max acceleration: x=1000 y=1000 z=5 e=1000 Thanksby twigtree - Prusa i3 and variants
Sorry that this isn't related to your question, but are the SK8's and corner brackets mounted to your frame? Mine fall out and slide around. Thanksby twigtree - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi, i'm new to 3D printing and just got this kit in the mail. I started building it, but got stuck at the first step. When attaching the 2020 corner brackets with 4mm T-Nuts and 4Mx8MM Pan Head Bolts, the corner bracket doesn't attach to the 2020 frame piece. The corner bracket falls out and slides around. The same thing happens with the SK8's. Can someone please help me solve this problem? Thanby twigtree - Prusa i3 and variants
