I found the issue with the end-stops, poor soldering from both companies (migbot and replacements). Now I can home. My x and y axis is squared but my z axis does not move smoothly. The motors with turn the screws and raise the hot end but then one fails to keep up and they get out of alignment. Any ideas? Also, when I home it takes me off of the x axis and the y axis isn't using the complete pathby spartyon8 - Prusa i3 and variants
I spent the last few days trying to figure out this printer. I have the standard bed version and when I flash the m119 command, I get a z_max: open. I have reversed and switched endstop connections every which way and continue to get this code. I even bought new endstop figuring that those might be the problem, not. Below is the firmware that I flashed to the printer. I am completely new to thisby spartyon8 - Prusa i3 and variants
QuoteFirstAvenger So this has come to a bad end. After completing everything, the printer didn't work. When I tried to set coordinates for home etc. for the printer, it appears not all the motors operated properly. z axis jammed everytime, causing the motor to stutter and I had to unplug it. This is where I am stuck also. I have tried to home it and level the bed but the endstops appear to beby spartyon8 - Prusa i3 and variants
I sent a pm. Are you still willing to help me out?by spartyon8 - Prusa i3 and variants
I sent the command using repetier and used the min and max slots. All I received was a z axis open no matter which slot or switch I closed.by spartyon8 - Prusa i3 and variants
Ax- Thank you for taking time to help me. I do not have auto leveling and have a standard bed. I successfully flashed the firmware but now my endstops don't work, homing all 3 axis tries to drive past and then slips belts or stalls z rod. Writing code is definitely not my thing. I want to get this thing up and running but more importantly, I want to understand. I am a teacher and am frustrated thby spartyon8 - Prusa i3 and variants
After a few hours of trying to reload the firmware, I have successfully uploaded it and it appears to be functioning now, albeit not correctly but functioning. Now I have to deal with faulty endstops (solder joints). Can anyone help me get the bed centered and leveled?by spartyon8 - Prusa i3 and variants
My Migbot replica has been doing this. I noticed that the wires to one endstop weren't even soldered. That is going to be my first attempt at fixing the issue, check the soldering of the terminals. Otherwise, I wish I could help more but I am currently dealing with this problem as well.by spartyon8 - Prusa i3 and variants
Well, basically I need to figure out everything electronically. I did the construction and everything is fine. I tried to flash the marlin file in the other post but now the screen has strange characters on it and I can't get the menu to work. Then I would need a little guidance in the calibration of it all. Basically: 1) putting the firmware on the printer 2) calibrating the motors, leveling thby spartyon8 - Prusa i3 and variants
Hello all! Hopefully you can help me out. After reading countless threads and downloading tons of programs I have to humbly come to you for help. I built the printer above and it powers on and everything. I am trying to figure out how to do the firmware but am at the point of giving up. I read the previous thread but got more and more confused. I need to setup the software side of the printer andby spartyon8 - Prusa i3 and variants
