Wow. I haven't been to this site in awhile, it's nice to see something finally pop up in Cleveland. I'm in Strongsville. I have a few 3d printers laying around and a bunch of other equipment. One of them is a Prusa that I had quite a bit of success with... I would be happy to share my experience.

Need an object converted to a CAD file or image? We can do it. Cheap.
I'll output it in whatever format you want. 2d (bmp/jpg/dxf/etc...) or 3d (stl/etc...)
Item can be up to (approximately) 6" x 8" x 2.38"
Max scanning resolution is 0.025mm.
Mail or drop it off in person. (Cleveland, OH)
Price depends on resolution+size.
$3 for low resolution/small objects
$5 for high resolution/small-medium

Job Shop: I make stuff!
Also want to add, the pay rate is pretty high (70s to 80s), but there are lots of responsibilities.
If I weren't stuck in Ohio, I would be doing this right now

Interesting idea (Maybe it's been talked about/done before here) but this seems like a pretty straight forward, almost "plug and play" to use your phone's capabilities. I'm no programmer, but it looks like something that could definitely be integrated into the reprap project

But there are many free programs that will read one of the Sketchup export types and convert it to STL files. Off the top of my head, I think Meshlab does this.

I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Marcus. I don't actually live in Portland anymore, but my family (and their 3d printer business) are still in Portland and I make frequent trips. I actually live in Cleveland (not far from Makergear Headquarters
I have a fully assembled and printing makergear prusa. Took me awhile to get to this point, but I made it! Running Ramps+Skeinforge+repsnapp

Thank you. I will go through all of your suggestions as soon as I get home (specifically grabbing the Y to see if it slips)

You know, I can see a line where it "plowed" through on the cube, would that be enough to stall? Would I adjust the Z layer height for that or just work with flow?
But I did a 20mm "walls only" cube and it did the same thing, there would have been no resistance even if it plow through it.
You can kind of see it here:
The only reason you dont see the rest of the cube after the shift is because

I started the video right after it messed up, hopefully it makes sense after this.

This is a bit tricky to explain. I haven't had any awesome prints yet, but I'm getting closer daily. I have my extruding speed dialed in enough now that I was able to move forward enough to discover a new problem. This is on a Prusa with RAMPS and a makergear extruder.
I did 4 prints last night of the 40mm test cube. The first one got about 2cm high (Z) and then decided to move about 2cm toward

Are you happy with the botmill kit? How was the printed parts quality? I
