I'd recommend not using an LCD type projector, as LCDs are opaque to UV light.
You might want to check this out, it's a DLP projector based 3d printer capable of making SMOOTH sufaces: http://utwired.utexas.edu/lff/symposium/proceedingsArchive/pubs/Manuscripts/2011/2011-21-Pan.pdf
Here's another that can do MULTIPLE materials: http://utwired.utexas.edu/lff/symposium/proceedingsArchive/pubs/Manuscripts/2011/2011-06-Zhou.pdf
On multiple axes, all you really need is the Z-axis, unless you want to have a HUGE bed, where you move the projector across the bed.
Get rid of that joke??? Jasper 23:05, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
