The problem with the printing solution is the gate width of the devices, you can see they are imaging the device with photography and you can see the connections.

That device is only 20bits of memory!

Most modern electronics need to be imaged with an Electron microscope.

In conventional electronic production they are heading towards 20nm gate width.

The problem is and will always be print resolution! winking smiley

... for higher resolution with 'coarser' details you can go 3D - imagine a stack of some 100 thin sheets, connected over the borders to a solid block.

With such 'stacked' organic modules you can build relative cheap single-count-electronics, compared to the starting costs until you'll receive your first silizium-device.

Think about home-brew chip manufacturing based on ink-jet printers winking smiley
