After reading of many people who were very happy with their Makergear Plastruder, I decided I wanted one. I had the majority of the parts laying around so I wanted to see if I could build one rather than buy the full kit.
If you talk to Karen @ MakerGear she will sell you a partial kit. I bought the same setup minus printed parts and hot end and it was a lot cheaper than what you spent even after shipping costs. I believe they use 5:1 for their extruders.
