Hi guys

just wondering if you can post some nice clean examples of Wiring a J-Head

im looking for connects used, what type and gauge of wire , Wire heat protection, Wire placement (resistor and also thermistor), quick change options on wiring also. as i want to easily switch between .5 for parts and .35 for art

just redoing my .5mm h-head nozzel after cleaning it up and trying to get it nice a neat.

just as a note iv seen on the mendel 90 it uses a 9pin d connector for the extruder assembly. this never carries the jhead power as well does it ? what amp would you say the j-head uses ?

Yes it powers the J-head. The heater should take 2A or less.

D type connectors handle 2A or more per pin, that is why I use them.

Some are 2A, some 5A and some 7A. It depends on the contact material.

The heater wires should be at least 22 AWG I think.
