Thermistor problems
March 06, 2013 08:32AM
Running a sanguinololu 1.3a and running pronterface my thermistors are constantly returning 79 degrees for extruder and 90 degrees for bed. is my board blown? or do i need to fiddle with settings or configuration.h? hoping its the latter, obviously.

You probably have the wrong thermistor tables loaded in the firmware. You need to edit your configuration.h to select the correct one and then reload the firmware.

You should know what you have from your source.

The problem with the Marlin and Sprinter firmware is that they didn't include those values in the table. I wished they did. smiling smiley According to the reprap wiki,, that should be a EPCOS 100K Thermistor (B57540G0104F000). which is #1.

yeh i used that, and even tried all the others. if i pick a different thermistor in configuration.h then i'll get a different temp, but its still way too high and doesnt change even when extruder is heated up.

Your configuration files might be bad. What is the firmware? Did you edit anything besides configuration.h?
