Y Carriage vibrates while printing
February 23, 2016 07:39PM
Hello everyone, probably my first post here, I have been confused about something for quite sometime now. I own a Makerfarm i3 and since day one the Y Carriage has been vibrating while printing. It does not vibrate while homing though AFAIK. I tried dampening the vibration by "cushioning" the LMU88 bearings but didn't do anything. I guess there is something going on with the FW or the current settings on RAMPS? Any suggestions?

p.s My prints are ok but I am sure the vibration is doing some kind of damage to my potential good prints.

It's hard to diagnose without a seeing video of the behavior, picture of an affected print, or your firmware and print settings. That said, I would probably start by verifying that the voltage is set correctly on the stepper driver and, so long as it is, try changing the print speed in your slicing software.
