I've been keeping my eye on this new printrbot...printrbotGO.

It was made in collaboration with Ben Heck of the "Ben Heck Show"

Is anyone considering buying this?

They put up 100 of them a week or two ago at 1500$ and by the looks of things they had to lower it to 1200$ to move a single unit.

Compare it to the 400$ jr or 550$ full size model and ask yourself if fitting in a box is worth the extra 800$.

I like the folding design, printbot don't appear to be open source though. I can't think of many people who need to regularly carry around printers. For $1200 you can get a decent (non-portable) printer.
