Difficulty with Taulman 618 filament and Ubis hot end

I picked up a couple spools of the 618 nylon (3mm). I really like the properties it has and wanted to try it out.

Im just having an issue with it.
When the hot end gets up to temp, doing a manual extrusion it doesnt push anything out until 4 or 5 more manual extrusions. When it does come out, it just weeps for a very long time. Once that stops, I can print.

If I remove the tension from my hobbed bolt, and press it into the nozzle manually the same thing happens. The filament goes in fine, but there is a long delay before it comes out of the nozzle. Almost like there is a large cavity in the hot end that needs to be filled before it can came out.
Printing with PLA, it does not do this. It extrudes smootlhy and evenly, and stops extruding in a timely manner.

Anyone ever have an issue like this?
