All Metal Hotends
May 15, 2013 05:36PM
Hello,
I would like to start this thread to list all those upcoming an existing all metal hotends, without any comments how they perform or not, just a list of them existing and where to get them or how to build them as links.
Any judgement or rating should go into a seperate thread,

So I start with
reprap-fab.org V3
E3D
Prusa Noozle
Arcol V4
Organ Pipe
Longsword
Excalibur
Magma Hotend

So please add those that I missed... I guess there are several more to come and already existing. From my experience these will be the way we will go forward.

Hi Traumflug,
that one is just a sample in my eyes, neither you can buiild or buy it.
I'd like to build up a collection of all All Metal Hotends, since I guess these is the way the development will move forward. So after PTFE, then PEEK and now all Metal. These all metal have some great advantages;
1. No temperature < 400 will break them
2. They will be able to extrude any plastic that is extrudable
3. Nearly no wearout, the won't break because they are used a lot.
Also they seem to allow higher speeds.
At the moment I have the impression that j-head is the Hotend in peoples mind. I guess this will change. And as long we don't have any listing of all Hotends available, starters are still buying outdated PTFE Hotends.... (At least I did...)

He has instructions there on how to make it and it's remarkable simple. My favourite design so far. Can't say how well it works compared to others, though.
