Printing Mendel Prusa Parts on a Solidoodle?

Hi, I'm new to the world of 3D.

I am interested in building my own Mendel Prusa.

A friend of mine offered to lend me his Solidoodle 2 if I wanted to try it out. I was debating trying to print my own parts kit on his machine. He seemed to thing the quality wouldn't be good enough. I was curious if anyone here has had luck printing out RepRap parts on other platforms (specifically the Solidoodle).

Am I better off just hitting EBay? ( I don't mind the time investment, as long as the parts are usable....)

Thanks for helping a N00b!
Depends if it's calibrated enough, it should be good enough to print parts though, reprap doesn't need anything high quality or super precision.

As Tom says, no problem if it's configured properly and you guys know how to use the machine but that is true for any Reprap as well. Some of the parts take a while to print and you'l have to learn how to use the printer and get some filament if your friend doesn't have any. Were it me, I'd hit either ebay or the for sale forum here and get parts. I've used avdwege2003 before, good parts, good service. [forums.reprap.org]
