My name is Darryn and I am from Cape Town, South Africa.
I want to build my first 3D printer.
I am looking to build one from scratch, so that I can learn as much as possible.
For a beginner, what would be the best printer to start with?
I know there is a lot of support for the Prusa I2, but now that the I3 is 'available', would that not be a better option. Or maybe another model?
I don't have access to someone who could print the parts needed, so I would have to order them. So, considering the shipping charges to South Africa, which printer would give me the best bang for my buck?
I would be looking to build the printer as a project over time, so I would not necessarily order all the components at once.
