extruder retracts at print start

I'm using Marlin, Pronterface, Skeinforge and the print jobs are off because the printer is retracting filament when it gets to the start of the print. It makes half the first layer off. Where do I correct this?

show us the start of your gcode.

I actually switched to Slic3r yesterday and have not had the issue since.
