Looking for 3/8" acme to stepper couplers

Does anyone know of a source of 3/8" helical acme to stepper couplers? I am having trouble finding them.

I should say, I am having trouble finding them for a reasonable price. Anyone? I keep finding ones that are either very expensive ($38 each) or that don't fit my stepper.

What diameter is your motor shaft? 5mm?

3/8" is 9.525mm; those are 8mm.

My problem exactly, it seems others are using printed couplers or are using a lathe to turn down their acme rod ends. I don't have easy access to a lathe. I am using printed couplers right now but they are giving me terrible z banding as they are solid and give no alignement error compensation.

What does your Z-axis look like?

It's a MM 1.5. I upgraded to acme from threaded rod. The threaded rod did ok but that had a z wobble as well.

I found these [www.ebay.com] but I think that the 1/4" is going to be slightly to big to tighten down.
