Getting ramps1.4 recognised on arduino IDE
September 14, 2013 08:49AM
I am using

Ramps1.4 w/ arduino mega 2560 (from reprap discount) trying to install marlin firmware for my prusa i3

I cannot get it recognised on he arduino IDE serial port pull-down. My other huxley with sanguino 13a board works fine on the same port and can be recognised

I am using:
Arduino IDE 1.0.5, also tried 023

Any clues? Has this have anything to do with EEPROM or bootloader, as my ramps electronics might be clean slate?

Thanks
Rui

Did you install the Arduino drivers in windows?

You need to install the Taurino drivers. See: [reprap.org]

What arduino drivers are you referring to? (If it recognises my huxley with sanguino, shouldn't it work?)

And ok, wi try taurino drivers.

I have just tried installing the taurine driver but the arduino IDE 1.0.5 still don't seem to recognise the electronics (no option selectable from serial port pull down)

Any other suggestions?
