Looking to replace bent 8m threaded rod Help

Hello all I'm having a hard time finding just a replacement 8m threaded stainless rod to replace a bent one on my Z axis. It is a Sells mendel(not Prusa). The few i have received do not want to fit the nuts i have for some reason. Is there a particular one i need, Ty for any help in advance. Also a good vendor be nice.

[www.ebay.com] I tired this one but nut will not go on it without stripping it. I also had tried another and had same problem to tight of a fit.

I suspect that the pitch of the threaded rod is not the same as the pitch of the nut.

Possibly you are mixing a 5/16-18 nut with a metric M8×1.25 threaded rod.

Their pitch is nearly the same.
0.0555" pitch for a 5/16-18.
0.049 mm pitch for a M8×1.25.

Ty I ordered some 5/16 rods to try it ( also come with new nuts for it)

You should probably replace the z nuts along with the threaded rods. It's very likely that the threads in the nuts have been stripped. Brass nuts would probably be best to use with stainless steel threaded rods.The nuts are a lot cheaper than the rods.

I upgraded my OrdBot with these trapezoidal threads:

You also need the right nuts for the rods. Z axis runs a lot smoother now.
Ordinary threaded rod is notoriously difficult to get straight.
