You can now 3D print plush objects

Check out this video, you can now 3d print felted plush objects. It looks like a pretty simple setup that has a stepper controlled needle, a servo that adjusts the angle of the yarn and a foam printing base. There is an article available behind a paywall but I doubt it has the details on how to build your own. Is anyone going to try to build one for themselves?

I tried this once. Had all sorts of problems with it slipping off the kapton tape bed. And don't even get me started about the mess the PVA glue made.

That is awesome, though if it were me I would try sew-struding onto double sided tape, saves you the trouble of dealing with glue.
