What's your favourite slicer - especially with overhangs

Hi Reprapers

Recently I'm having a bit of problem printing overhangs or angle greater than 50 degrees

I've tried Slic3r and Cura for support material, am still exploring which one is better.

I'd like to know what others out there are using for slicing their STL.

Please share your experience with some successful prints photos and settings.

Below are some of the objects I've tried to print to test out the overhang issues.

Happy sharing smiling smiley

Print layer = 0.1mm
Perimeters = 40mm/s
Infill = 50mm/s
Support material = 60mm/s
Bridges = 60mm/s
PLA Temp = 185C
Heatbed = 70C
Print environment temp = 28C
Software = Slic3r
Print fan = Yes

Overhang threshold = 55
Pattern Spacing = 1mm
Interface layers = 3 layers
Interface pattern spacing = 0.25mm

Print layer = 0.2mm
Perimeters = 40mm/s
Infill = 50mm/s
Support material = 60mm/s

Print environment temp = 28C
Software = Slic3r

I've tried Slic3r, skeinforge and Repetier. I prefer Slic3r. Skeinforge is super complicated to use. Repetier was good, but a little arkward at times. Slic3r was just that much more intuitive, well documented and clear. The latest slic3r has had some good improvements recently. I'd recomend getting the latest version and reading the release notes to see what has been improved. The latest had a heap of improvemts related to support material. Your object might benefit from it so its probably worth a shot. I'm very impressed. Alex has written Slic3r and given it out for free. I have great respect for him.
