Changing X-Endstop to unused pins
September 17, 2014 07:41PM
Hi guys,

I have just figured out that the pins for my X-end stop are damaged and not working. I am a programming I was wondering if anyone could give me the necessary code to change the x end stop to unused pins or maybe guide me towards the information needed. I'm running Marlin and Ramps 1.4 on a Prusa i3

With thanks,
Kev

Edit pins.h, and find the section where it defines X_MIN_PIN for motherboard 33. This is line 558 in the current version of Marlin. Change that to 2 and plug your endstop into the X max connector.

Thanks Andrew Smith. You're a gent. I have just packed to move house. I should get a chance to do this tomorrow. I'll let you know how I get on.

I mean, of course, line 600 of pins.h. That section was a lot simpler last time I looked at it.
