Just a quick post to introduce myself before I start asking questions in assorted forums. I've been following RepRap for a couple months now. When the aluminum extruder kits were announced, that was the final straw that pushed me into getting started building one. I ordered an aluminum extruder kit, and the video which inspired the McWire repstrap was posted the next day. It looks like a pretty solid design, so that's what I'm going to attempt.
I double majored in CS and EE, but the only actual EE work I've done since graduation is a couple small hobby projects, so I'm looking forward to digging in and helping out, so I can try to brush some of the rust off my skills. Anyway, it's nice to meet everyone, and I'm looking forward to helping get things rolling.
