Dual Extruder Paste Printing HELP
August 03, 2015 11:28AM
Hey guys,

I have replaced the extruder on my printer with a syringe that extrudes paste under air pressure. To do this I have wired the air pressure to the fan port (D9) and am using the M106 and M107 commands to make custom scripts for printing. I would like to add a second syringe so that I can alternate different pastes within the same print (using white and dark chocolate, for example). My issue is that I am not sure where I can hookup the second extruder's air pressure and which commands I could use to activate/deactivate the extrusion. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

It´s shooting from the hip,
but when you change the board type to "35" (EFF) both terminals are seen as fan terminals.
Maybe using "T0 and T1" commands followed by M106/M107 would do the trick.

Maybe there are two more sets of M-codes for the second fan?

If you have RAMPS, you can buy a fan extender that will then allow you to control two fans independently with gcode. Ooznest sell one and have instructions on their product page. [ooznest.co.uk]
