we're out of stock. i took it down while i wait for it to get into stock so people dont buy it and then get angry when it doesnt arrive right away.

dont worry, as long as people are interested in the UCB kit, i'm willing to sell it.

So I take it it is the "Universal Controller v1.2 PCB" that isn't in stock, as I was able to order all the parts but that.

Anyone have a spare they are willing to sell in the USA?

Thanks.

yeah, sorry about it. they should be in stock this week if you still want some. if you order just that PCB, i can mail it in a small envelope and refund you the difference.

i didnt realize there woudl still be this level of demand for those boards =)

Zach. I think it would be cool if you published sales stats. I know from working on other projects that the forums don't always reflect the true level of activity (many don't post).

Not to add work to your plate, but if trivial - might help to give some idea of level of activity out there.

sure. i'd like to do some more in-depth stats and publish them (probably around the time when i'm able to do reprap full time) but here's our stats so far:

165 total orders since May 20, 2007 when the store first opened.
i usually get 5-6 orders per week.
i'd say there are about 140 unique people who have ordered from the store.

i'm very happy with how things have been working so far, and i'm excited for the next couple months as some big things are happening:

* extruder kits
* electronics kits
* McWire cartesian bot kit
* having a hard time keeping stuff in stock winking smiley

Zach, I'll admit up front I'm trying to jump into this project ordering before I entirely know what I'm getting into

Your comment almost implies.... Is there a reason I wouldn't need these PCB's? Are there newer designs coming ... or are people really making them on their own (way beyond my current skills). Just curious.

You might want to go read the blogs to get a good feel for why Zach made those comments. He is working on a new board.

Hey,

I'm working on what I hope will become the 2nd generation RepRap electronics. Currently they are tested and working, but the firmware to control them is probably 1-2 months out from being usable and bug-free.

For now, the universal boards are tested and working so you should go with those.
