How to config x,y,z axis scale in Replicator G
September 26, 2010 03:54AM
Hi, I had a problem is how to config & calulate the x,y,z axis scale at Replicator G.

I'm know that i need to config axis scale in machines.xml but i have no idea what value i should fill it on.
(See as follows)
axis id="x" length="300" maxfeedrate="5000" scale="11.767463"/ <-----(For M6x1 thread rod what value i need to put on ?)
axis id="y" length="300" maxfeedrate="5000" scale="11.767463"/ <-----
axis id="z" length="300" maxfeedrate="150" scale="320"/ <----

My machine config is :
M6 x 1 thread rod.
Nema 14 step motor (200step, 1.8 - 35BYG304)
Using Replicator G 0019
Windows XP
X,Y axis : nophead's pully : [www.thingiverse.com]
Z axis : 15 tooth gear - Huxley (z-driven-pulley-2off)

Thanks a lot !!!

1 mm pitch makes 1 mm movement per turn makes 1 mm movement per 200 steps makes a factor of 200 steps/mm, or 400 steps/mm when doing half-stepping.

Why are people using so many different softwares instead of using one, concentrating and fixing that?

The pulleys have 8 teeth, so when used with a 5mm pitch belt each revolution is 40mm, so with half stepping you get 10 steps per mm.
